The bigger question-are we going to find these being used against American citizens, given the intentional lack of a border. Monsters such as those eventually tend to turn on their creators at some point.

I remember back in 1968, when all media attention was on the murder of Bobby Kennedy, a South California gun manufacturing company was raided by the BATF. They had been making unlicensed sub machine guns for use in South America.
It was found that the Lyndon Johnson Administration may have been giving consent to such manufacture at that time.
The story was noted in the NRA magazine American Rifleman but ignored by others as they were more interested in banning 5 shot bolt action army surplus rifles and foreign “Saturday Night Specials” from US citizens.
Mexico is learning that an open border with the US controlled by the cartels is open both ways.
If you are shipping *tons* of drugs into Mexico (like, say China) how hard is it to include ‘used’ US weapons from Vietnam, Afghanistan and other old battlegrounds?
