The SCOTUS did not authorize anything. They did not authorize Texas to add more. They did not bar Texas from adding more. They did not authorize the CBP to cut the wire. The only thing SCOTUS did was void the lower court stay against cutting the wire, and they did so without any comment or guidance.

Especially since SCOTUS didn’t tell Texas to do or not do or to even allow anything at all. The only thing SCOTUS did was void a lower court stay. For all we know it could have been procedural or an overstep by the lower court, in their minds. They did not at all say that the Biden Administration was correct in cutting the wire.
