Trump recently said he has already picked his VP. All this talk about a short list is likely disinformation.
Senators make very bad President-VP
Trump will be 78 on election day. He should pick someone who can take over for him should he have a stroke or heart attack. Someone who can run the executive branch including the military in what will be a perilous time for the U.S. That should be the pre-eminent qualification. Period!
That leaves out anyone who is picked only because they’re perceived to help him win. Scott is a lightweight. Ditto for Noem and Lake. They’re not presidential timber. He should pick DeSantis who has proven he can govern in a crisis, shares Trump’s philosophy, is a smart lawyer, and has an understanding of the military having served himself. Nobody even comes close to his qualifications.
But Trump won’t do it because he would be afraid as a lame duck president he would be overshadowed by DeSantis, the heir apparent. Plus, his ego wouldn’t allow it. DeSantis probably can’t stand Trump and wouldn’t want to be his understudy, so, this pairing will never happen, unfortunately.
I agree. How about Byron Donalds out of Florida? Can’t Trump identify a RINO by now? There are so many other great choices

Rick Scott is classic stiff-necked, say-little, do-nothing Vice Presidential material. You look in the dictionary next to "textbook future VP candidate" and there's a picture of Rick Scott.
Foam Boy maybe solidifies TrumpII's 5+ lead with Latinos over The White Hospice, but he's a Gang of 8 loser and might would purposefully undercut TrumpII on Amnesty.

Why do you two think a “talking head” would be a good pick? He’s fundamentally an entertainer! Where is there any evidence he’s capable of taking over the office of the president? It’s ludicrous!
Pass on both. Noem strikes me as RINO, Scott is less than brilliant. Needs to be someone with as much smarts and resolve (or as close as possible) as PDJT.

I think Trump’s VP choice will be Sarah Huckabee Sanders. The media will work to destroy her much as they did Sarah Palin, but I think Sanders can handle it.
