“The plan is to stick Republicans with the blame.” That is their strategy but how will they explain to the voters that for years, Democrats said there was no crisis in the border and now there is? Voters know Democrats aren’t telling the truth.
They can plan that all day long! Won’t work! Democrats don’t have Magic powers, neither does media! Quit expecting the worst!

They already do. This isn’t going to fool anybody other than the 20% of true believers whose vote he already has. The other 80% who don’t feel an absolute devotion can hear it for what it is: an excuse, blame shifting, not taking responsibility. Overwhelmingly the position & issues that people overwhelmingly identify with Trump, conservatives & the Republican Party is support for a border wall; 100 times current funding to fight illegal crossings & invasions; massive increases in border patrol guards & detention/removal camps; opposition to illegals having jobs, housing, government benefits, driving, voting or being allowed to attain citizenship; support for deportation; opposition to refugee claims; & strict enforcement & interpretation of immigration law. No one is going to suddenly think they are favoring illegals. I wish yall would use your brains 🙄
Sweet Lord. Just because Democrats planned as a tactic & are trying to use it to distract & blame shift does not mean they will succeed at it. It means they are trying to mitigate the damage & peril they are in on this issue. That kind of tactic only works (& still to a very minimal degree) on an issue where each side haven’t staked out a general position & become identified with it. In other words, it might work, minimally, on an issue neither side talks much about or that rarely makes headlines. I can assure you, immigration is the exact opposite. It’s in the headlines daily & it is almost entirely broken down along partisan lines. It is the most dominant domestic issue. Democrats are known as the pro illegal immigration party defending illegal; Republicans & Trump are known as the anti illegal immigrant party favoring a wall & deportation. People universally know Republican voters would never support sabotaging border security & they know that Democrats voters are the ones that want the border left wide open. Do you honestly think, realistically, that people will believe that things turned on a dime overnight? With most of yall, I don’t know where your heads are at 🙄
