“...the sewage began heavily flowing out of Nashville in most directions...”

This is true for EVERY SINGLE metropolitan city in the USA (population greater than 100,000).

Wherever there are welfare recipients, you will have an overload of democrat sewage. It comes with the territory. /spit

They know it’s no fun being in the minority and unfortunately, it’s pretty clear in 2025, they will be. It’s there own fault for not passing bills and taking endless vacations.

WV’s Mooney is in the senatorial primary to replace Manchin. I will be voting for him, but he won’t win, it will be the current governor - Justice. Everyone knew Justice was going to run for the GOP nomination for the Senate. It was a foolish move on his part. Let’s if he stays in WV, if he picks up and leaves it will prove the biggest criticism of him - carpetbagger.

Hopefully the dipstick who posted about this a couple days ago is reading. His educated theory: “Derrrr, hes prolly trying to throw his seat to the Democrats....derrrr, he must be a deep-stater. Derrrrrrrrrrr, man these people aren’t loyal. Duhhhhhhh! Derr da derrrrrrrr!!!” Me: 😧😐😑🤨😵‍💫🙄🫣???... I just.......don’t even.....sense evidence of brain cell activity. A lobotomy or just standard mental retardation? 🤔🫣😜🫤

Green flirted running for governor in 2017, but suspended his campaign after he was nominated by former President Donald Trump to become the Army secretary. He later withdrew his nomination due to criticism over his remarks about muslims and LGBTQ+ Americans, including saying that being transgender is a disease. He also urged that a stand be taken against “the indoctrination of Islam” in public schools and referred to a “muslim horde” that invaded Constantinople hundreds of years ago.

After winning the congressional seat in 2018, Green once again made headlines after hosting a town hall where he stated… that vaccines cause autism.

Forbes also revealed that during a private GOP House meeting, Green described the DHS secretary as a “reptile with no balls” for his refusal to step down from his position.

to bad. sounds like Green has a good understanding of reality

He’s helping the other side by leaving. What is he going to do instead of being a Rep?

“WV’s Mooney is in the senatorial primary to replace Manchin. I will be voting for him, but he won’t win, it will be the current governor - Justice. Everyone knew Justice was going to run for the GOP nomination for the Senate.”

Mooney got in the Senate race six months BEFORE Justice did. This caused the establishment (the same ones who bribed/threatened Rosendale out of the MT Senate race) to panic and run hysterically to Gov. Justice and beg him to run.

Funny thing, even with full establishment money and support (and with Mooney having neither of those from the GOPe) Mooney as of the end of last quarter was ahead of Justice in fundraising. That shows he has the support of the “little people — i.e., the voters — while Justice has the big corporate support.

Mooney isn’t defeated yet.

Mitch McConnell, Steve Daines and Lord Trump all support the doddering moderate rather than the solid conservative in West Virginia, and probably the only reason they haven’t (yet) tried to “Rosendale” Mooney out of the race is that, unlike Montana, the Republicans will be picking up this Senate seat no matter who wins the primary — even the “carpetbagger”.

Note that the establishment has no problem supporting the carpetbagger (Sheehy) in Montana, however.

Everyone here knew Justice was going to run. Most knew it was going to be his next step after his 2nd term. The only question was his health. You don’t need to project McConnell, etc. involvement.

I’ve met Mooney a couple of times and like him. He’s definitely MAGA much more so the Justice. Trump backing Justice very predictable, both resort owners and knew each other before politics. Justice days after Trump won switched back to being GOP. (Those who don’t know he had been GOP then switched to Rat to run for governor.) All in all his governorship has been successful. However super-majorities in the legislature has made conservative governing possible. His biggest failure was being panicked about COVID. I attribute that to fear due to his own poor health. I dislike him because of his past corrupt unethical business practices.

Mooney’s weakness with the normal WV voter is well let’s face he defines carpetbagger! He tried to have a political career representing the eastern panhandle of Maryland but failed. He moved across the border into WV. McKinley did him a big favor by imploding from a teaparty guy to RINO. The rest is history. I hope Mooney stays in the state if he loses. ( He will!) Anyway I am voting for him.

Time the GOP folks going to Washington D.C. trimmed the federal government down and restored more “federalism” (division of powers and responsibilitries between the states and Washington D.C.) to the country.

There are good political reasons for that as well.

Making every issue a federal and national issue only increases the production of causes that divide the nation.

In our federal republic system of states, the less some are telling others what they must do, the more we can get along without agreeing with each other on everything.

“deteriorating suburban areas in Williamson County”

Where did you get that? That’s far from the truth.

normally classified as “solid Republican” but it is nowhere near as solid as it was a few years ago.

This is true almost everywhere, and it isn't going to get any better any time soon.

We already have a Constitution & BoR's that are ignored, along with myriad laws and regulations that aren't followed by DC. What are more Amendments going to do?

A rapidly growing area which used to give Republican presidential nominees 70% or sometimes more of the 2-party vote all the way back to 1984 is now getting down towards 60%.

Its demographic and political indicators suggest that it has peaked and is on the way down.... that's called "deteriorating".

Williamson County, TN election results and demographics

It's not just Trump which has caused them to move a bit leftward, but it's more noticeable there than in elections closer to home (state elections, district elections) and has been noticeable in the Trump years if not sooner.

An area which still gives the GOP margins of 25% or so and votes 60-65% Republican is hardly bad, so don't get your panties all in a wad about that, but there are no numbers which suggest Williamson County is getting BETTER and several which show it heading the other direction.

It's happened in lots of places, and it'll happen here too.

For place that's parallel in many respects, check out the county in Texas which has the same name as this one in Tennessee. Look how nicely it voted for a long time; look how its demographics used to be when it was voting big margins to the GOP. Then look at it now.

Of course Tennessee isn't being invaded the same way Texas is -- yet -- but good, populous suburban counties adjacent to urban sewers ALWAYS reach a peak at some point and then start to decline. Nothing good lasts forever.

So like it or not, Williamson (TN), though still a generally good area, is heading that way. The more people who flee Nashville into this county, or who invade from other states but don't want to actually *live* in Nashville (just near it), likely aren't helping any.

So you are defining deteriorating as in voters and not physical housing?

Frankly, we aren’t being invaded by Nashvillians.

They usually can’t afford to live here.

And Republicans are still getting 60 to 65% of the county vote.
