Strange, couldn't they just transfer their workers from the closed plant to plants where they needed employees? They already knew the job, safety procedures, etc. But I guess it's better to hire unvetted people who didn't come to the country legally in the first place.
You might go to Twitter and wonder why everyone is saying to boycott Tyson. This is the reason.

I didn’t buy Tyson for years when bill and Hilary were elected. Tyson and more were buddies in Arkansas and trips at Mena Airport.
Bill had been a governor like no other governor.. They carried their ways to Washington DC.. Much of it was played out in the news..
I remember years ago there was Mississippi chicken plant that employed illegals. They said the same thing about them. When ICE raided the place and arrested the workers (I SAID this was years ago), the line of locals hoping to be hired to replace them stretched for blocks.

When I worked at the corporate HQ for Wally, it was easy to notice all the Mexicans Tyson had working at their meat packing plants in Northwest Arkansas. There was one Wal-Mart store that was so overrun everybody took to calling that one “the Mexican embassy”.

There’s a new Perdue Chicken ad claiming their biggest competitor has re-introduced antibiotics to otherwise healthy chickens. I can only assume Tyson is Perdue’s biggest competitor.
Any possible link between dosing their inventory with antibiotics and hiring 52,000 3rd world workers?
