Boomers sometimes have no digital footprint at all unless they die or served in the military.
I have had some pretty sophisticated database search engines for my work and there are some people who just do not appear.
If they change their name and make up a social security number (like millions of invaders do) they are likely to not be identified until a new crime is committed and law enforcement drills into their social security number.
As for credit cards, these people can get a prepaid card without any reliable ID at all.

I guess it’s possible to still live ‘under the radar’ but I have trouble understanding how they can even access medical services as virtually every place I go requires ID, whether or not I have my Medicare Card. And, needless to say, I get photographed for my driver’s license (something not even done back then), and now I printed too.
What happened to the money? Does she have the money? Is the money long since spent? Is there any money that they can retrieve from her, that she would have inherited?
Me too! But they are not devastated.
The money was insured. If no one was hurt in the robbery the police will simply look at the tapes and show them around.
Most bank robberies are done by desperate, local people. They are known to the cops. However, back in the day if you drove into a different community and you stayed away from cameras…you’d likely get away with it.
Times have changed. When I sat on a grand jury we had several bank robbery cases. The video captured from different sources showed the guys going in to the bank, robbing it, and then they followed them through the city. We even saw video of the arrests.
There are just too many cameras around today. If you are going to rob a bank, go to a rural one where they are not video taping everything for miles around.
Smart girl...admit to nothing....but to tell the story is worth some bucks....

well, millions of invaders have made it work for themselves. I’m surprised felons with really bad records don’t just show up at the border, claim they are from Honduras, get their immigration court date 10 years out and take off into the US.

Oh stop. This crook and his daughter cast him as a victim to somehow justify or explain why he robbed a bank.
Reading between the lines nobody but nobody seemed to like this guy or want him around. Then barely out of his teens he steals his employers money and scrams, never coming clean until the ride was about over. Now daughter is capitalizing on his theft and deception to make money.

Wasn’t there a medical survey of some kind done in a small town in Wales or England somewhere having nothing to do with paternity that nonetheless established that some shockingly large percentage of the children didn’t come from Dad? I think it was done back in the fifties or sixties.
