Every now and again I agree with what you have to say. This is one of those times.
The 6am raid was totally uncalled for. They could have waited for the man to go to work and handed him a copy of the warrant while they carried out the warrant at his home.
But no, they had to put on a show and terrorize an entire neighborhood. They took their chances and encountered a man who was willing to fight back.

Guy was probably asleep in bed and they crashed in his front door. The typical cop tactic is knock loudly and yell “Police”, then two seconds later the battering ram knocks the door in.
If you were standing 5 feet from the door you couldn’t answer that fast.
He’s asleep in bed, door crashes in, you grab your gun and right then, guys dressed in masks flood in screaming at you.
You’ve been awake for 4 seconds.
It’s a blueprint on how the gear queers commit murder.
This should have been two clean cut men in sport jackets at 9am, ringing the doorbell, presenting the person who opens with a search warrant. They should even be polite.
