In the grand scheme of things, you’re correct as far as choosing the ultimate candidates. The question is are there as vites for someone else hard votes that won’t vote for the parties candidate or something else. The only state where it matters yesterday is Wisconsin since it’s battle ground.

Coincidentally, there was NO mention that yesterday was Primary Day in any of the local enemedia.
Meanwhile, turnout Downstate was much higher and Primary Day made the news.
