I sold 95% of my stock based mutual funds over the last three weeks. I put it all into short term money market funds.
I have been 95-100% stocks for 40 years.
I’m with you! That would be so interesting!
I thought it was the 1980s.
They are welcome to travel abroad, as long as they don’t come back!
What - and get another loan forgiven !!,,
I never even considered loans for college. I didn’t even know it was a thing. I did something crazy like work a few years for Uncle Sam and got some grants. Then, I got a job to pay for the rest. I got a welding certificates and busted my arse as a structural welder at nights so I could go to school at day. If only I would have even an chomo paying my loans in a crystal ball I would not have been foolish enough to work.
I would support if this if they were
forced to STAY abroad.
mighta been, but definitely the 70’s when the country had at least a littl;e common sense
I worked a full time job while going to night school. I had to get loans and one grant. I didn’t qualify for full grants because of being single, white with no kids. I also worked full time. It took me 8 years to pay everything back, but I did it because it was important to me. It helped me get the job I held for many years and retired from. I am proud of that. I can’t see how the taxpayers on the hook for other people’s loans will make those borrowers feel proud of themselves. I hope they feel guilty for the rest of their lives.
