Federal Grants are big business. Takes a knowledgeable individual to even apply for one. Federal Grant writers are in demand everywhere from Universities to individual cities. The kink in it is that someone has to administer the Grant when they get it, collect data on what it is being used for, by whom, where the money actually goes, etc. The Federal Government is supposed keep track of all of this but like any other BS government program, the devil is in the details. Chances are the “whistleblower” was the person responsible FOR administering the Grant and she blew it off and got rid of them when they told her she could not just TAKE the Federal money and do with it what she pleased. She needs to be in JAIL.
Well, as long as it is just “inconsistencies,” I don’t see a problem here . . .
Big fat Fani thinks that that is REPARATIONS!!!
OK, they’ve been “uncovered”, now what are you going to DO about it?
I’ve been retired from an IT university job for close to a decade. The business office had to catch errors related to charging wrong accounts. It wasn’t frequent but happened on occasion. A $200 charge to the wrong account wasn’t going to trigger a review. A $5K charge would bring both the business office and academic heads of the department into the mix for review and approval.
Won’t matter. The DA will have an opportunity to reconcile the “inconsistencies” by moving other grant money around.
“...and we are working with them to update their reporting accordingly,” a Justice Department spokeswoman told the Free Beacon on Friday.
