How long before the new Bookers are demanded by the Z? It’s almost like we authorized them for a war in Ukraine.
Exactly
They haven’t been in combat for a year, but mostly taken out on the first or second day on frontlines.
At least.
The Russians are putting them on display as war trophies for public viewing. The armor and it’s make up is also clearly visible for everyone to see.
I used to be a big advocate of the turbine. It has a lot of advantages: higher efficiency under load, light weight, potential for cool air and water generation, true multi-fuel, high tolerance to high and low temperatures.
But today there is one major reason why the turbine is dead: Thermal signature.
Sure, we have an APU or batteries when you’re shut down, but that don’t help you move much.
I don’t see turbine as a problem. Russians are using them just fine.
All US divisions had 56 pcs of organic field artillery each (155mm). 3 battalions of M109 or M777 in 3 batteries of 6 guns each - 18 guns per battalion. This hasn’t changed.
This TOE goes back a very long way.
Tank organization has changed.
54 pcs.
4 M1A1 SA Abrams: (2 destroyed) (2, damaged and abandoned)

Not shovels, mines and artillery fires.
They’re heavy. I think it’s 70 tons fully loaded and fueled.
—
These are the older variety weighing in at around 40 tons.
The first versions of the M1 Abrahms weighed in at 60 tons. Current version (M1A2) is 69 tons.

the most dangerous place to be on the battlefield was in a helicopter.
—
15 seconds battle life of a helicopter in high intensity environment with a peer.
Not all drones are helicopter style - many are prop driven.
Radars are also a target of high interest for artillery & missile fires.
There is a reason we haven’t seen F-16s,
—
Because the pilots need lots of training to be effective is the reason; so far at least 60 F-16s in various configurations are coming soon.
No M1A1s are captured. Only 2 Bradleys taken captive
All Russian tanks are powered by a diesel tractor engine first made in 1917
Nothing wrong with their top armor. It’s not being penned by drones. They’re dropping the bombs thru open hatches.
The Crews hit a landmine, which throws a tread. Without a recovery vehicle, ground support or protection from drones and arty the crew abandons the tank. Hatches are left open or opened by Russian infantry. The drones drop a weapon in thru the open hatch.
I suspect the losses are Demo-ed by RUS infantry due to the ammo bins needing to be locked open for access to stored rounds. Something a crew wouldn’t do on abandoning the tank.
They’re still recoverable tho as the DU is very durable and worth the tank. I suspect the RUS will recover some, repair them and use them in the future. The engineering and DU is irreplaceable. But the real threat is land mines. The UKRs are using them the only way possible given the low numbers -as scouts.
These are the first versions minus ~20 tons of DU armor and other things.
far at least 60 F-16s in various configurations are coming soon.

If you say so. Last I heard the Ukie pilots have not “ qualified “ yet, and there is much talk about putting qualified pilots ( ex military, western contractors ) in the seat…..as for maintenance and support crews, there are zero Ukies qualified.
Wake me up if/ when any F16’s become operational in Ukraine….with the recent Russian advances, they are too late to have any impact on the outcome….and if they do arrive, Vlad will add the “pieces “ to his increasing trophy collection at the Moscow Military Museum.
I admire your Hopium.
