MJ, and celebs like him - with all the money in the world, end up looking like this.......I continue to be amazed that any "regular person's" plastic surgeon can make a go of it. Lookie, if the big bucks make you end up looking like the current MJ, or Mary Tyler Moore or Robert Blake, all of who can afford the best, what does Jane Doe down the street expect to look like, when she can only afford a journeyman surgeon?

When someone gets continued plastic surgery, after a point, much of it can be for the purposes of correcting other plastic surgery.

The people around Michael are probably telling him "It looks better than it did..." rather than "It looks good."
