I've lived in apartments before.

I've also been attending rather raucous, evangelical, Spirit-filled, hand-raisin', tongues-speakin' churches for years..........and have played rather loud, heavy guitar in Praise and Worship teams for a very long time.

With that said.........these two are out of line. I'd have to know exactly what they're doing to pass a personal judgment here, but let's just say that a Christian does NOT become a nuisance to those around them deliberately, that a Christian should share his or her faith, NOT shove it down unwitting listeners' throats, and a Christian best demonstrates their faith through the way in which he or she lives his or her life, not by how loudly one can "pray" or otherwise worship the Lord.

Sorry, I dont think I stated myself clearly. If I hear it in my home they have brought it into my home and I have a right to tell them to shut up.

Apologies for my lack of clarity. If they can be heard in my home their prayers are no longer in the privacy of their own home and it becomes my business. Same goes for loud music and domestic quarrels. Crying infants I usually make an exception for, unless it sounds like they need emergency help.

I guess that psalm must really say...Make a joyous noise unto the Lord...preferably through a bullhorn if you live in a tenement...

If your neighbors to the side, or above, are loud IT IS YOUR BUSINESS.

And let the apartment dwellers say "Amen"!

But not too loudly, OK?
