Better watch out for that stuff off the Carolina coast - it's heading south and starting to look nasty....

Yes, Camille was far worse. I was about an hour away from Camille's devestation, and all we experienced was a thunderstorm. It's amazing.

I was right off of Franklin Avenue for Betsy. Looks like we were in the same area for that storm. I remember the neighbors' dog was on the roof of their house.

I hope to never experience anything like that again.

Where do I apply to get the job of "naming hurricanes"?

I would name them more appropriately, after some of the monster children I have known:

Blake

Hunter

Stetson (yes, really)

Cameron

Tyler

Ashley

Jerrica

Kaylee

Cindy (lol)

OMG- New Orleans should evacuate NOW! :-P
In fact, we should evacuate in May and not come back until October!

Well - we can hope it just dissipates - and what we are seeing now is an attempt to form that won't succeed....but, I sorta think otherwise.

Here's the latest picture of Bertha:

It's big!

And here is that "disturbance" off the coast of SC - which looks to me like the next Tropical storm in the making - but is nothing officially right now - just being "investigated":

(Big again - last one of these - good website over HERE.)

Ha ha! So, that's where the Bertha Butt reference in the old 45 record called Convention '72 by the group The Delegates came from!

Stetson? I presume they named him/her after the hat company? A Yankee version would be Susquehana.
