Diversity. Progress. Equal Rights
Look at any one of these words, and there is nothing wrong with any of them.
Listen to it come out of the mouth of a liberal, and watch how fast it becomes a sickening thing.
......and also consider that we are only talking about mere words here.
I think any hyphenated identifier is an oxymoron..............you are either an American, or you aren't.
People have a natural tendency to identify themselves by their history. There's nothing wrong with that.
For example, I can identify myselves in terms of past immigration as being of Germanic descent. As well as Irish, Scottish, a smattering of others thrown in. It's not important though.
What is important is when I start using such descriptions as a platform to demand things.
I often wish that 'hyphenated' groups would realize what a disservice it is to themselves to subscribe to identity politics.
That hyphen is a self imposed qualifier that sets them apart from the rest........and those that insist on such a qualifier cannot legitimately insist on others seeing them as the same as long as they insist on seperating themselves, by their own choice.
Sick of hyphenated people-American.
