Sounded like a piece written by someone who has been a christian for years.

True or not it is a beautiful letter.

It would of been better for this person to have signed their true name.

You are so right no one can predict a timeline because it is God's plan not our own.

There is the testamony of an Arab over here that is bringing many to understand just who Christ is within the Islamics. What I have heard is that he just asks them if they have been having dreams of a man dressed in white robes. If they say no he walks on, if they say yes he explains who that man is.

Pretty smart. To try to convert an Islamic is death, but he just lets God presort them for him.

Here a few from the net. Many more, minor in way, major in personal impact, but miracles non the less happen everyday. Yet it stopped ... inexplicably. To the north of Israel the Syrians poured out of the Golan Heights, yet when they got within sight of the Israeli HQ and the Sea of Galilee they also mysteriously halted. What made this story incredible was that the HQ was manned by just ten men and two tanks! Another story that you can choose to believe or not to believe concerns an Israeli captain, a man without any religious beliefs. As he was fighting in the Golan he looked up into the sky and saw a great grey hand pressing downwards as if it were holding something back. Lance Lambert's conclusion a s to what was behind all of these incredible events was that "without the intervention of God, Israel would have been doomed".

And another... "Many years later, after Sadat came to Jerusalem and we made peace with Egypt, I visited Cairo and sat down together with the Egyptian general who commanded troops in the Sinai. Later, at dinner, I asked him because it had always amazed me, why did an entire Egyptian army run away from thirty-two poorly armed Israelis. 'You had us right in the palm of your hand,' I told him. 'You could have finished us off in twenty minutes, we were so outnumbered.' 'Outnumbered?' he answered in astonishment. 'How can you say that, Sachar? You know as well as I do that right behind your small forward emplacement stood thousands of Jews dressed in white desert uniforms, backed by hundreds of tanks racing at us across the desert. We were the ones outnumbered, not you!' My heart filled with joy when he told me that because I knew that our victory came, not because we were such great fighters, but because God had sent His angels to fight for us." (See Footnote 1)"

Before the decade is out huh? Did you say that in '92, too? Or did God tell you personally?

Can I bet you some serious money here? Like maybe $10,000 or so. I'll give you odds.

Do you have any rational criteria for sorting out the signal from the noise?

i.e. what is your criteria for declaring something significantly unsual true vs myth?

What evidence do you have that it is inherently better for you to say somethings not true when it actually is true vs to say something is true when it's not?

Does it matter to you whether you tend to err more on one side or the other when the stakes are higher?

And what about when the stakes are eternal?

QUITE RIGHT.

And those wanting to rationalize such away seem to fail to comprehend the extreme, life risking courage it takes for a Muslim to report that AT ALL, TO ANYONE. The odds are that such phenomena are epidemic. And only a relatively small percentage are getting reported at all.

It's kind of like the disciples era and the 500+ witnesses who saw Jesus walking around for so long after he was Resurrected--it's rational to think someone would risk death for an eternal truth. It's not so rational to think they'd risk death for something they knew to be a lie.

Yes, the person could have signed their name and death warrant all in one signature. It's difficult to believe that you really would have preferred that. Would your satisfaction at that point have been worth widowing his wife and orphaning his children? Of course, they all might have been killed for his signing his name to such.

Knowing a number of precious folk from India, I didn't find his message sounded like a long term Christian at all. The Indians I know who are long term Christians sound much differently. Perhaps you know more long term Indian Christians than I do.

Armageddonites

UHHHHH, what's your definition?

Do I believe in Armageddon?

Sure do.

Do I believe I'll live long enough to see it happen?

I believe it will happen well before I would have reached 110 years old. I'm 55. I suspect it will occur within the next 5-15 years. . . unless it's to occur at the end of the 1,000 years of peace.

I do believe Russia and probably China or India/China/and the Islamic republics with Iran--will be stomped trying to do Israel in or shortly thereafter.

I suppose it depends on what Armageddon is. If it's the final war between Christ and the legions of the antiChrist--then that could come--as far as I know or have sorted out--at the end of the 7 years of extreme tribulation or at the end of the 1,000 years of Christ's reign of peace when satan is loosed for a season to tempt those born during that peace.

I believe there will be more than one big war in the ME before it's all said and done.

Evidently you are one of those believing that we are now in the 1,000 years of peace helping bring about Heaven on earth? That tall tale is much toooooo far fetched for me to have a shred of belief in.

To me, it would take MUCH MORE RAW FAITH HANGING ON NOTHING to support your skepticism than it would to just believe a report that an earnest man made at some risk to himself and to his family.

Before this decade is out, everyone on this planet will have made a FINAL decision in accepting or rejecting Christ's salvation.

Puritan mathematician Napier was wrong in the 16th century when he invented logarithms to calculate the remaining length of the last days. You are wrong today.

Still, I trust that the God who let His folks piss on the grave of communism in 1992 will also ordain victory over Islam -- and secular humanism.
