Now our POTUS had some time before 9/11 and what was he doing with it? He was being very friendly to Fox, he was speaking of 'they only want a better life', 'they are jut hard working family people, 'they are doing the work no one else will do'. He was inviting Fox to speak to Congress so he could personally demand that the US give rights to his citizens - freedoms US citizens don't enjoy. No it is not just the fact he is doing nothing, he has encouraged it. He does not get a pass on this - there is no way you can spin it. This is his plan.

Are you willing to wait until he is through with Afghanistan and Iraq to remove and prevent the terrorist 'stragglers'? What exactly does that mean? How many does 'stragglers' make? Is it 5 people with bio weapons, 25 people? 100? 'Stragglers' makes it sound sort of benign, but explain just how many you are willing to allow across the border before you think he should take notice. Think of the tons of illegal drugs that are brought across the border, it would take only a small amount of biochemicals to seriously harm this country. After all, we are going after Saddam because he has these weapons, aren't we? Why then are we leaving them the perfect entry route for bringing it to us?

Yes, a plan that he, the Border Governors and numerous Open-Border groups have been working on for some time. They all feel cheated because what happened on 9-11 brought attention to flaws in the Immigration services and put a cog in their wheel. They believe their demands should override US security and sovereignty.

What looks like common problems don't originate in this country though, the problems all come from Mexico and it's inability to provide a decent living standard. Welfare and government handouts aren't common to both sides either so the US taxpayers are the ones getting hit hard to provide for the problems caused by Mexico. No one is dying because they want into Mexico, they're all dying trying to escape. The US isn't the cause of them dying, if their own government would reform, they could have a nice life in their own homeland.

But you're right that Mexico's many problems are more and more commonly found on both sides of the border ---and all the way through the US. I know even in Michigan they're having problems in treating mentally ill patients now who don't speak a word of English and the social workers haven't yet learned Spanish for them.

My issue is with Bushes desire to open those borders and expand Nafta to So.. America...As a nation we can not afford the onslaught of thrird world folks that Bush/Fox want in here...as Morris says it is the death of the stupid party ...and I say it is the birth of Bush sr.'s New World Order...

Having been on the frontline of this battle for more years than I care to admit, I have seen this situation get worse since IRCA was signed back in November 1986. It continued to get worse under Bush Sr. and went completely out of control under Clinton. Many of us were hoping for something better from GWB, but from what we see and hear these days, the future doesn't look good on this issue...unless you're an illegal alien that is.
