Thanks so much for the lovely fall flower arrangement. Thanks, too, for the warm fire last evening, I fell asleep from the warmth of the fire.

I skipped the canteen yesterday so that I could finish my work and get out to see Sean Hannity. His radio show was live from Jax, before he headed to a Veteran's fund- raiser in World Golf Village, in St. Augustine.

During an audience question period, there ws an articulate Navy Lt. who brought the crowd to a standing ovation, when Sean thanked him and all of our Armed Forces. The Lt. was talking about how important it was to the military to have a commander in cheif that they could respect and trust.

In response to the favorite John Wayne film question...that's a toughie: Angel and the Badman, the Quiet Man, True Grit, Stage Coach? How does one decide?

Thanks for the flowers, Tonk...and the poem Cote. I have to go to a funeral for an 18 year old today, no mention of boys in the poem.

His dad, Chuck Pickren, is a veteran, I beleive he was USAF, and was stationed in Germany in the 70s. Any one who servedd with him would remember the 6'7" officer folding himself into a VW Bug. His son was a straight A student, captain of the football team. No drugs, alcohol or speed involved. He crashed his truck on a wet road and died instantly. This happened on Wed, the same day we were praying on a previous thread for a baby awaiting a heart for transplant. Please keep Chuck, Julie and Chipper in your prayers.
