God Bless and Protect Our Troops!
Also, God Bless those who help them, such as this American Airlines Flight Attendant.

The silent majority of Americans agree. God Bless their efforts.

Some of this sounds suspect. The word choices and terms seems wrong. Does anyone know if this piece (I got it via email last week, too) is for real? I suspect it is an edited updated version of something written decades ago.

K rations? "the rank"?
To: PlanoMike
I just hope they come home alive. I have a bad feeling about Saddam and his bio/chem weapons.

Re the terminology, remember it was written by a Flilght Attendant, not a miltary person.

I might still drop a tea, but fiction ought to be labeled as such. Even if it is realistic.
To: Notwithstanding
That's a keeper. Someone should submit that to Readers Digest.

camelbacks are like a backpack with a "bag" that holds water. has a tube coming from it so you can drink without removing all your gear or the camelback.

well, maybe it is real - i guess i hae recieved too many myths via email to fall for things so easily
it is a nice patriotic story
To: Notwithstanding
"Camelbak" actually. A water filled bladder you wear in your backpack, with a hose and nozzle leading out so you can drink (and kill Iraqis at same time).
Camelbak

Has anyone her EVER deployed on a commercial aircraft (charter) and hand carried their weapons? The only time I have ever hand a weapon with me is on a quick trip via a Black Hawk...and only because we were unsure of the situation on the ground. These guys were going to Frankfurt. Surely the weapons would be crated and loaded with other cargo.
