I believe the word you're searching for is Chirac.

You can call him "Superliar" just like most of the people in France do.

I was assigned with the U.S. Army in France in 1961-62; even then, some of the French always got their panties in a wad when they had to use an English word for which there was no French equivalent.....like "refrigerator".

Armin Burkhardt, who heads the working group on language in politics, calls the project a way of "peaceful linguistic protest".

Thanks, Willie. I remember learning that song in 5th grade, but I had no idea what it was about. I learned it phonetically, and thought I was singing about something "jaunty". Who knew it was about plucking a lark to death!

lol, here are some more handy phrases for those fromages:
http://yoyo.cc.monash.edu.au/~mongoose/french/phrases.html

"Would you stop spitting on me while you're talking!"
"Voulez-vous cesser de me cracher dessus pendant que vous parlez!"

"Reality and you don't get on, do they?"
"Le réalité et toi, vous ne vous entendez pas, n'est-ce pas?"

"You're a complete moron"
"Tu es completement debile"

"You get on my nerves
"Tu me peles le jonc"

"As a child, was your cradle rocked too close to the wall?"
"On t'a bercé trop près du mur?"

thanks to my lovely daughter, who just happened to come home with this today!

too complicated, Mark Twain was right -- esp hard for those who can't understand basic war strategy and keeping a united front with dictators. Here's a diplomatic statement for Pres Bush to tell Chirac:

"I'd help you, but I don't like you."
"Je vous aurais bien aide, mais je ne vous aime pas."

The french are so paranoid about maintaining the 'purity' of their language against anglicisms that they established a commission which battles incessantly against such terms as Le Hamburgeur, Le Big Mac, and so on.

One of my favorites is "computer science" must be rendered as Informatique.

Pardon moi, Herren und Damen, but the world has already made its choices clearly known, and the English words are the preferred terms. Once again, you ass-clowns have lost badly and, like the Iraq War and a thousand other examples, you think that you can hide your failure after the fact through snotty egalitarianism. Simply amazing. Aren't there any other weapons in the French arsenal?!?!?
