Since you seem to have been one of the few to voice a comment that seemed to get to the real reason that entertainment people use their notoriety as a soapbox, I will go further.

There are a few that have deep convictions and beliefs and they are usually consistent and obvious.

Most do what their agents and publicists tell them, which is to open their mouth any opportunity they have with statements that get them publicity.

What you may not know is that there is political control of the agents and publicists, hence the entertainment people themselves. This control supports the party and President that allow it to make money. That give it the freedom to use any means (exploitation,sex,drugs,whatever) to make money.

Any party and/or President or Politician that goes against this liberal notion of ANYTHING GOES in HOLLYWOOD, or ON TV, or IN A MOVIE, gets criticized by the Peter Pan set (airhead liberal entertainment people that do as their agent says, regardless to their own thoughts or convictions)

As they say, follow the money. They lead to a very powerful person. Funny no one has made the connection between this powerful person, and a past President, and a beautiful Movie Star. I assume no one will, until he dies.
