Current stats on the number of southern born soldiers who today support the Traitors of 1861? What Report would they be in?

That might be considered a disorder

I don't have any, and neither do you. That's why his proposal was not conclusively a strawman, as you asserted. It MAY have been (which IS what I said), but we can't be certain without more data.

I have read both Madison's notes and Farrand's Record (which has the former therein). I am not as much of a fan of Mr. Hamilton as I once was. There is considerable dissembling on his part in The Federalist, the worst of which were his assurances that the national government was unlikely to usurp powers as structured. The Judiciary was given way too much power, but it was kept hidden, to be brought out later Chief Justices Jay and Marshall.

Then there's the Bank of the United States, about which I have read very little but bears need for some future research. My personal jury is out on Mr. Hamilton.

"Republicans appreciate my work to expose the evils committed by Democrats and their neo-Confederate collaborators."

I knew you couldn't post a sentence without showing your hatred for the South. In previous posts on other threads your description of "neo-Confederate" was all over the page, suggesting that you are enamored with the term itself, but lack any valid or objective definition of it.

I do not knowingly read the works of cranks. Thus, knowing you from your avalanche of posts on various threads, I will not read your book, either.

Your falling into Partisan's trap that where he says "no Southerners care about the Confederates 150 years ago".

There is a reason the most written about subject is the WBTS. Americans N and S care deeply about the soldiers, the politics, the economics, and the issues during that time. Even Partisan writes about the subject - he cares about those Southerners, he just can't admit it!

I have never written or posted any statement expressing hatred for the South.

"Every Confederate was a Democrat."

Prove it. That's like saying every Yankee was a Republican. Wrong on both counts. My great-great grandfather was a Confederate cavalryman with Nathan Bedford Forrest, and he (my g-g grandad) was not a Democrat; he was a-political. He was a German immigrant who, like many other Southern troops, fought because his home was invaded. That's the only reason. He never owned a slave and didn't care a spit about politics; and, like most other Southern troops, he wanted only to be free to raise and provide for his family. If my home were invaded, I would do the same thing, and I wouldn't care one way or another what the invader's political beliefs were.

"That's like saying every Yankee was a Republican." -- highly illogical, so repeating my arguments, which I've made several times on FR, would be lost on you.

So says you:

"you and the other neo-Confederates on Free Republic are re-hashing Confederate arguments becuase you don't have the guts to state what you really want -- the destruction of the United States of America. "

Who on FR is calling for the "destruction of America"? I'm calling you out. Let's put it down on record, Partisan.

Read Hamilton's Opinion on the National Bank of the United States. It is one of the most brilliant legal opinions ever written, a masterpiece in every way.

Hamilton was Washington's alter ego for a reason. Patriot to the core he spent twenty years as Washington's chief aide, friend and advisor. Hamilton's influence and policy were instrumental in the success of this nation. His enemies were wrong on virutally every point and used every lie, scheme and plot to drive him from power.

No American did more to create and ensure the success of this nation. Compared to his enemies, he was a paragon. No wonder Washington trusted and admired him above all his contemporaries.

It is hardly possible to be too appreciative of Hamilton's work and fight for freedom. No man shaped the future of this nation more than he. No man waged a greater fight to create an independent, united and strong nation than he. That fight prevented him from becoming wealthy and ultimately cost him his life but didn't stop his demonization by the scum of the earth, hypocrites and crooks.

Alexander Hamilton was ten times the man Thomas Jefferson was. Jefferson was what today we'd call a limosine liberal, and Washington would not even say his name after he left the Preisdency.

Do you honestly believe the parties have not changed in the last century and a half?

News flash! 2002 Georgia elects Republican governor for first time since Reconstruction. Top issue in campaign for crossover voters: CBF emblem on state flag!

By all means tell us - who would be in the White House right now, if not for "Southerners" loyally voting "Republican?"

Any number of groups could take credit for pushing Bush over the top, including Tennesee Republicans, the Cubans in Miami, Ralph Nader, overseas miilitary, or even Bush's own legal team. But don't let me stop you from assigning credit.

Would you prefer Southerners to vote Democrat instead? That would satisfy you, but leave the liberals in charge.

Your viewpoint is representative of an extremely small group of disgruntled southerners who vote third party or stay home. Please don't pretend otherwise.

I had no idea the South's contribution was that high! Shameful to think those folks are protecting our country while some posters on FR take cheap shots at them.

Whats shameful is YOU saying that your viewpoint is representative of all southerners serving in the military. I strongly doubt that any of the black southerners feel as strongly about your lost cause issues.
