Arnie will not run, due to past marital infidelities that would undoubtedly be brought up. I have enough on Arnie to kill his chances....not that I'd ever do such a thing.

Well, Kramer, if that's your answer.

I just figured he WOULD be the only candidate to be capable of running the PR campaign for the feel good CA's. This State, as much as I love living here, is run by illusion. Who better to make us "feel" better than Arnie swooping down to knock off all the bad guys. I don't think he'd necessarily do a great job, just be able to handle the press well...and in this town, that's GOLD.

I've heard great things about McClintock and Issa, so...torn, here--as far as that decision.

Let's just get rid of all Dems in CA - we'd be MUCH better off.

(getting down off of soap box, now)

P.S. Cosmo - LOVED your show!

The plot thickens... Eeewwwwww. It's Hillary's ankles that thicken. And then there's the question of her pregnancy. Maybe the Clinton's are planning to make an announcement . . .

I would love to see Arnie Run. ....Really.....But he just has too many skeletons and The dems would undoubtedly use them aganst him -- it's just too desperate a situation for them not to.

in other words, I wasn't trying to rain on the parade -- just wanted to get Californians ( I used to be one) to get to work on electing a viable candidate.

oh great....a drug addicted pervert(s), that was almost recalled himself, is just what Greyed Out Davis needs to insure certain political death. They couldn't think up this stuff if it was a Looney Tune cartoon!

Come on - Hillary isn't a pervert.

Perverts get laid once in a while, and Hillary hasn't since Vince Foster "died."

She hasn't even been kissed since her meeting with Suha Arafat!

HILL PLANS CALIF. SCREAMIN'

July 30, 2003 --
WASHINGTON - Sen. Hillary Clinton yesterday said she intends to speak out against efforts to recall Democratic California Gov. Gray Davis when she goes to the state Monday.

Clinton's trip to San Jose and San Diego was planned months ago as a book signing for her bestseller "Living History."

She'll also appear on Jay Leno's "Tonight Show."

But she said she's also revving up to speak out for the unpopular Davis.

"If they ask me to, I am . . . I'm definitely going to speak out about it," Clinton told The Post.

"I want to point out how, to me, it makes no sense for a state that's in as dire financial straits as this to be diverting its energy from dealing with its problems, and spending money on this partisan political ideological battle." NY Post

Well, name the other states where a Senator from New York, came to campaign for the governor's office candidate.

Ohio? No.

Texas? No.

Arizona? No.

Washington? No.

Etc.

(Like good Stalinists that they are, when Hillary is elected, she'll fire the White House Travel Office people, even though she picked several of them, because she will never trust anybody who has spent time living outside of her dictatorship.)

(Like good Stalinists that they are, she will assume that everybody who votes for her was given to understand that they elected her Presidente for Life! Si!)

(She'll be a litmus test and all who will suck up (to) her, shall be known.)

(It'll be entertainment that the media industry will relish; Hillary 24/7.)

(We, the people, will all be the Survivor contestants.)

(There'll finally be "world peace," as she shakes Fidel Castro's hand; and probably a new paradigm a day.)

For a once great nation now desperate for new ideas with which to overlay and mask out the truth that something must be done to oppose her pending totalitarian grip --- to further conceal the civil war awaiting the starting engagements, by thesaric flavoring --- she'll get elected by cell phone people.

That is, Hillary will be elected to office by addicts of curiosity, the people who pick at scabs, who weren't convinced the first time, when they were little kids, that yes indeed, they were shocked when they stuck their fingers into the light socket.

So they did it again (in San Francisco and other gay communities, this behavior of sticking things in, out of addictive curiousity, has no apparent age limit restriction other than death by abuse of the system).

Like Hitler, Hillary is sick and such dark ambitions can only been defeated at the polls by those with the courage to recognize such absolute sickness.

The question is, can the political opposition be interesting enough to keep the rubber-neckers from electing Hillary out of sheer boredom?

John,

Every kind of a sick person out there is going to elect her, because they believe in their economic salvation under her rule.

And she is going to hire them, because of their loyalty to such an agreement, the pact with the devil.

Look around here, and you find people who are excusing away her ascent. Basically, all the arguments are that "it'll never happen." Somebody or something will stop her.

There arguments are no different than those made by the German people who knew that Hitler had to be stopped in the late 1920's.

Hillary is a hateful person.

Hillary lusts for absolute power.

Again, dictators are followed by people who see them as their salvation; and dictators campaign on that basis, as saviors in which to believe.

The point is that Hillary's followers are followers, true believers.

Many of them look like "ordinary people," but they are essentially governed by their insecurities instead of daring. Frankly, leftists are people who are very scared; and they construct governments which are very scary ... because it is home; they are addicted to what "validates" their fears.

Hillary is a tyrantita in waiting, and timid people will follow her to their end, because through her salvation, they believe that they themselves can be "empowered" and free themselves from their fear.

It's a vicious cycle, in each of such persons; seeking oppressive discipline with which to fight their fears.

The antidote is maintaining an even strain of healthy guidance, that you can and must believe in yourself well enough to carry on with life without absolutism in your time.

To be sufficiently self-sufficient.

Hillary is just a person, but in her mind, she is a god.

The battle is, again, a struggle against an earthly god.

Man's salvation cannot be through an earthly god, but men keep trying.

Because they are scared.

It's obvious that the clintons' coming to california is not for the benefit of davis. That much is clear.

Maybe they just see it as an opportunity to get round-the-clock news coverage, as you wrote. This d*mn war has commandeered all the air time which should rightfully be theirs...

We know they will use the opportunity to blame Predident Bush for all california's problems. That's a given. The object being, of course, not to help davis but to kick mud in the face of President Bush and to advocate and nurture their socialist agenda in the minds of a large block of receptive voters.

All during the energy crisis, davis blamed the "auslanders" for his own incompetent mistakes. That ploy obviously worked, since the voters of california re-elected davis in the face of massive evidence that he was driving the state like a logging truck with no brakes down the winding road to financial ruin. It's still an open question whether state will be able to stop, or careen off the edge.

So they are going to try the "auslander" ploy again on a bigger scale.

Perhaps the clintons are worried that the mess davis has made of the state will throw those precious electoral votes to her opponent when she steps in to run for President. I guess it could happen, but then I'm very cynical about the average california voter (FReepers excepted, of course) since they couldn't see what was in front of their faces last time. They are like you described:

Many of them look like "ordinary people," but they are essentially governed by their insecurities instead of daring. Frankly, leftists are people who are very scared; and they construct governments which are very scary ... because it is home; they are addicted to what "validates" their fears.

There's a whole lot of truth packed into that paragraph...and some parallels with the rise of Nazisim during the Weimar Republic. For decades, the Germans were inundated with the philosophy of emotionalism over reason (Triumph of the Will), militant nationalism (Blood and Soil), and most importantly, sacrifice of the individual to the state. Modern democrats here in the US adhere to most of the Nazi platform. But it's taking the republicans to implement it for them.

When the economy and monetary situtations get bad enough and people start taking their frustrations to the streets, along will come a "strong leader", just like in Germany. Human nature doesn't change.

The only way to stop this before it happens is through philosophy, which is the base of all human action. When you hear a politician preaching irrationalism and self-sacrifice, they are preaching Nazism.

All right, I am waving my white flag. I just heard this morning on the radio that Gray Davis recently used Hillary's name as someone who was coming out to California to help support him in this recall battle. However, the word from Hillary's camp, when asked to comment, is that "they believe that this is a State's issue and that they would prefer to let the people of California decide."
