One last thing you should know about your neigbors. Muslims marry cousins, and a lot of them. Their parents were cousins. This is a tight clan-tribe connection which leaves no one from a Muslim country without a guilty relative.

If you think that Christianity is a religion of peace and tolerance, Islam is the exact opposite.

There are no truly Democratic Muslim countries, Malaysia and Turkey are the closest you can get. When you learn more about Islam you will understand clearly the reasons why it is a threat to Western civilization and our own national security.

Leftists are ambivalent about Muslims, for sure. On the one hand they view them as poor, oppressed (by "whitey"), helpless people of color who are simply in desperate need of a little guidance. This is the standard leftist knee-jerk response. And otoh the fact that Islam is just another one of those dreaded (by them) religions - and a fanatical, woman-hating one at that - scares the heck out of them, for obvious reasons.
