No, the problem is when the clear language of scripture does not agree with evolutionists, people dismiss the Bible instead of dismissing evolution
It also applies to moral issues or social issues
the Problem is NOT when the Bible uses metaphors or similies, the problem is when People choose to believe something other than what the Bible says.

Given the relativity of time, and that God exists outside of time, obsessing over time or a timeline for Creation is foolishness. So-called "young earth" Creationists are not alone in attempting to set a date. So-called "old earth" creationists are doing the same. That is what that had to do with the discussion at hand. Revisit the title of the article that is the subject of the thread, for further direction.
