Ok, you go with what you wish. I am telling you if lds vote for the liberal Romney at 92%, there is no reason to believe they will not vote for Reid. He is highly esteemed in lds circles. There are many articles giving him praise, he has been given awards by the lds leadership.
This is cute but no cigar. Way to end you point. Leave the religious hate and paranoia to the Democrats

I have not read through this thread, nor do I have time to do so because of some pressing commitments.
However, I wish to raise one issue concerning a candidate's religious beliefs. If a person claims a strong affiliation to a particular belief system, we should pay attention to that because it can tell us a lot about the candidate's value system and judgment. If all belief systems are put on a continuum, everyone has a point on the continuum beyond which he or she won't vote for a particular candidate based just on the religious beliefs alone. The question with Romney is what side of the dividing line do most Christians place Mormonism.
I had a troubling conversation with a graduate student along these lines prior to the 2008 primary. When I suggested that many Christians wouldn't vote for Romney because of his Mormonism, the student objected strongly claiming that is unconstitutional because the Constitution says no religious tests. He remained unpersuaded when I told him that prohibition applies only to the STATE, not to individuals who are free to decide their vote in any way they chose.

Mormons are not conspiring to take over our country and subvert our Constitution.

Are you sure about that? You might be very surprised at what their leaders have taught and what they claim will happen here in the US (white horse prophecy, millennial reign in Missouri, mormon takeover of the government) not to mention the old temple oaths that were against the US).
BTW, I lived in high Mormon areas as well and they aren’t nearly as conservative as they claim. But their PR machine does a helluva job.

We would probably find him more interesting had we studied psychology.Being mental is not a qualification for psychologists. I see you found a textbook on English though. Good for you.

I thought the consensus here had already decided that I was on another team.
There's even a spin-off thread to continue the fatwa.

You have to swing harder than a girl to break open a pinata. Bwaaaahaaaaaa! That isn’t going to happen.

Do not make this thread "about" individual Freepers. That is also a form of "making it personal."
Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.

Sorry again. I have been trying to back away from that since you admonished me the first time but have been given little room to do so. I tip my hat to you and everyone else here and will leave them to their Pyrrhic victory.
