No offense, FRiend, but I don’t care what Rome and her emissaries say the Bible says. I want a sound biblical case only. We don’t need councils and Roman authorities to speak because God has spoken. Supposedly infallible councils and the magisterium will lead you off the cliff. In contrast I believe in the perspicuity of Scripture - that in its essential message, it is clearly understood. The Scriptures on the subject of salvation are clear to anyone who will read the Bible.

I don’t know about that, but I pray to everybody. God, Jesus, the Blessed Mother,the Holy Spirit, the saints and angels. I cover all the bases. I need all the help I can get!

Well like I said it takes a lot of assumptions to get this on track for Roman “Saint”hood.

I know of no Christians that would be in this situation that would not be in close to constant prayer for their child for healing.

Perhaps in your belief system, which these parents may be adherents to, they are instructed to only pray to Mary and other various people that have passed on, and to NOT pray directly to God through Jesus.

If so that is a shame.

I'm not going to go over again the points that I made that you chose not to comment upon, but it is clear from your long linked statement that the criteria for “Saint”hood has not been met because prayers certainly were no ONLY directed to dead people, but directly to God.

I'm satisfied with your answer also, the only difference is that the answer goes against your denomination going through with this particular designation because the strict requirements were not met.

I'm certain this commission looks for such examples of prayer directed to other Saints (or directly to God), and if found, the cause of sainthood is put on hold, as it would indeed cause the confusion you all asked about, which is, "There is no way to tell if someone's prayer on Earth to God, or the potential Saint's prayer to God, was what truly is attributable to the miracle".

Well that is interesting because the matter isn't closed according to the rules and statements of your overseers.

But if it's any help to you, scriptures have already proclaimed this lady a saint. So it's no biggie if your denomination "beatifies" her or not, God already did.
