IMHO asking most politicians to talk about God is like asking a whore if she loves you. The answer will be what they think you want to hear.

Yes judging get us nowhere. There is such a thing as discernment, but the Lord NEVER gives us that to judge and condemn others, as so many on this site do.
Before I was born again, I thought I was a Christian because I lived in the United States. I actually thought that if you lived in the Untied States you were a Christian. That really is funny to me now. I think I see a similarity in Trump. Of course I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but I don’t think so. I have no illusions about Trump’s spirituality. He’s a nominal Christian with a Presbyterian background, which in NYC, probably isn’t saying too much. In the early 60s I lived in NYC and attended Marble Collegiate Church, and heard Norman Vincent Peale speak. I was not saved at that time. Now that I am, I look back and wonder whether Peale was.....just like I wondered about Robert Shuller. Neither of them ever spoke plainly about a need for Salvation.
But I believe God brought Trump out onto today’s political scene because he’s the one man with the chops and the finances to win the Presidency and bust up the Corrupt Bastards Club in Washington, DC., and all that goes with that.
My constant prayer is for Trump not only to win the Presidency, but to be captured by the Lord and drawn into a real, vital, born again relationship with the Living Christ. Amen.

And you honestly give Obama this much slack? Good grief, there have been a gazillion questions and criticisms of Obama's faith from the right (particularly because he sat in the Pews of an anti-American liberation theologist for 20 years, but also because he almost never goes to church).
I don't believe Obama is a Christian. I don't think he is a Muslim either. I think he is just an agnostic who pretends to be Christian - and the best he can pull off is to appear a nominal Christian.
This Pope has been so misquoted and slandered, that I’ve quit researching what’s real and what’s not. I take all Pope reports now with a Yuge block of salt. I give him the benefit of the doubt, and if he really is out of line, it’s a Catholic problem.
He needs to take a lesson from Trump though and call down Holy condemnation on his slanderers.

We must let the Holy Spirit help us in discerning and it is NEVER to judge or condemn. Those that do evidence that they are judging by the flesh, not discerning by the Spirit for the other’s good.
