"Everything"? Depends on what you mean --otherwise we would be setting aside every one of Jesus' teachings, both by word and by example, both the theological and the moral, as applying only until His saving death, and not afterwards. That would make 90% of the contents of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John "an Old Covenant practice... not a Christian thing."
That would leave us with Gospels having very little applicability for Christians. That can't be what you mean.
So let us try to avoid an over-broad generalization.
Regarding the Temple: some of Jesus' words and example concerning the Temple, ceased to be relevant with His own sacrificial death, the ultimate Lamb of God, on Good Friday in 33 AD. Some of it continued after His death, but ceased with the destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D.
Some of it is carried right over into the Church and is applicable to us today: not abolished, but fulfilled.
Well, isn’t the present pretender pope wanting to allow the “heretics” to hop right in line with the catehkized and partake? (He’s probably been bought by the wine and vineyard lobby, with them seeing a way the create a shortage, and jack up the price.)
Yoga is low-grade exercise. Boring too. It does nothing to summon spirits. Perhaps chiropractors, but not spirits. Seems unseemly to practice in church--why not calisthenics or rock climbing up the walls? But not evil.
Well Dan Fogelberg turned me into a wuss.
Nicely done.
Inexplicably no one burned any Dan Fogelberg records.
A beautiful post.

Your willful ignorance has bubbled to the top.
Lives are destroyed every day by yoga.
Yoda is NOT witchcraft. He uses the Force.

The “Old Covenant” and the Renewed Covenant are in every way the same covenant, the shed blood of a sinless kinsman redeemer having produced the renewal.
The covenant was an issue for the temple, but the temple is no issue to the Renewed Covenant.
The only way we can benefit from that covenant is by being “grafted into” the House of Israel.

Thus quote does not refer to the “world” as made by God, and which He pronounced Good, Good, Good, Good, Good, and Very Good. This is the holy sense of “world”.
It refers to parts of Creation which have been seized and forced into bondage by the Evil One, and are in rebellion against God. The Evil One perverts everything he touches. Thus is the unholy sense of “world”.
If you don’t understand that the term “the world” is being used in two different ways, you absolutely won’t understand why “God so loved the world.”
Thank you.
Thanks for the great comment. I actually was TEMPTED by a gorgeous white Cadillac with whitewalls on the Union Gospel Mission's used car lot. My daughter remarked that I'd need "pimping and hustling shoes" to drive it, so I gave up the idea. Even though I thought that the UGM staff had prayed the nastiness out of it.
It was a real temple until its veil was rent in two, from top to even the bottom, on Good Friday.
Although the buildings are beautiful, there is often the sin of pride in the feelings of church members. But that is a struggle of their own, between themselves and God. Not being from a liturgical background, I see nothing wrong with having church services in any building that is available, providing it has not been consecrated to the devil. There are home churches everywhere, and I can guarantee you that first century Christians did NOT worship in beautiful temples or buildings. I suppose some denominations look to the ornate descriptions of the Temple of the OT, as inspiration, but of course, the Temple represented Heaven, and a dwelling place for God. Now, we Christians are the earthly dwelling place. Are our bodies not the Temple of the Lord, in the form of Holy Spirit? So says Scripture.
As far as yoga is concerned, Laurette Willis, was a yoga teacher before she became a Christian, and she has a great deal of insight on the subject.

If you only know one thing about yoga, know this: every yoga position is a form of worship to one of the thousands of Hindu gods. And lest you think what you don’t know won’t hurt you, there are sins that may be unknown to a person, but they are sins, nonetheless.
Careful with that cat. LOL.
Alexander is probably sinful by those making judgments here. Decades ago, I spent 1600 getting a teaching certificate. Not teaching now, but am grateful for the Technique every day. I’m over 80, have perfect use (posture in motion), all my joints are functioning fully with no pain. Wish The Donald had some AT lessons; Melania and especially Ivanka look like they get them daily. Terrific use.
Amen!
