Have you read the Council of Trent?

***

Thank you for admitting that you did not, in fact, read Luther. I forgive you.

As for Trent? Yes. I have.

How else could I have proven that you Catholics didn’t have a solid canon of Scripture until after Luther’s death?

How else would I know that you Catholics believe in salvation by works? (and faith, but the emphasis is on works)

How else would I know that the Holy Roman Emperor wanted the council to be Catholics and Protestants together, but the Protestants were turned away?

How else would I know that you Catholics brought back the Inquisition and tortured Protestants to try to force them back to Catholicism like a bunch of Muslims?

How else would I know that the Catholics banned 538 books?

How else would I know that the Catholics claim that only their church teachers are allowed to interpret Scripture, and so you’re not allowed to condemn Bergoglio with Scripture because you’re not allowed to interpret it?

How else would I know that you Catholics aren’t allowed to know for sure whether or not you have salvation?

How else would I know that Catholics still have indulgences and pilgrimages and relics?

All of this from Trent.

Shall I continue?

Shall I continue?

Please continue. I have not seen such vanity since that of Luther's. He would be proud of you, if he was in Heaven.

Heh heh heh.

What? Angry that I know more than you about your own church?

Angry that I’m brave enough to read the theology of my opposition, so I know how to argue against them?

U mad bro?

Heh heh heh.

He found refuge in “sola fide” because he believed his “works” were never good enough or perfect enough to save him no matter how he tried.

Because our works CAN never be good enough or perfect enough to save any of us no matter how hard we try! Until we each come to that realization of the truth, we will remain trapped in the same works based, hopeless to save religion. Jesus tells us, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."

> As for all you poor saps who grew up believing J*sus “took your place in hell” so you wouldn’t have to go there, behold the truth! He died to replace a Divine religion with a human one, the words of G-d with the Julian/Gregorian calendar, tefillin with rosary beads, and the Qorbanot with the “holy sacrifice of the mass!” In other words, he didn’t die for your sins; he died to start a new religion!

I agree 100%. The G-d of Israel crucified yoshke. He got what he deserved.

They thought Christ was crazy and had a demon. Why not the rest of us?

Martin Luther: “The person who can distinguish between the law and grace can thank God and know himself to be a true Christian.”

The temple is gone. The Holy of Holies is gone. The sacrifices for sin under the law is gone. Jews today cannot even trace their tribe to determine who a true Levite is so that proper sacrifices can be made to atone for one’s sins. Whatever Jewish beliefs are today, it is certainly not what the Torah teaches.

The system has been replaced whether Jews like it or not.
