It is way past time for those moved by the spirit to take back the Church from the hierarchy. Way past time. This isn't about Church dogma, or what ‘rules’ one needs to follow to be a Catholic, or any denomination of Christianity. It's about very fundamental truths. Good and evil. That, it a fundamental truth and a fundamental dichotomy. Good loves. Evil hates. That's pretty simple.

How much Christianity-derived hate do we see in the world? Not much, from what I've seen throughout my life. Yet, Christians are being tortured and put to death now, in this century, in this time. This Pope appears to be blinded by political correctness, and maybe ideological (non-religious) biases as well. Those don't fit well with being Peter's successor, and keeper of the truth.

Many religions - one faith - Christianity/Judaism.

So did he sign this Ex Cathedra?

No, and the Holy Spirit would never have let him. Thank God.

Bishop Athanasius Schneider said earlier this month that in a private conversation he had with Pope Francis on the matter, the pope assured him that the “phrase in question on the diversity of religions means the permissive will of God.”

In spite of the fact that Bishop Schneider received from Pope Francis a sort of indirect correction of this Abu Dhabi statement, “Pope Francis obviously has not only not rescinded this statement, but now even has it sent out to all universities with the request for universal dissemination.”

The line between the more liberal Jesuit understanding of mental reservation and the Islamic principle of Taqiya may not actually exist, and is certainly hard to discern.

I tend to think Clement XIV was wiser than Pius VII on at least one key point. Even Popes named Pius can make mistakes.

While I continue to believe that in fact, in some way, he must be, given that you have the word appears in your statement, I certainly wouldn’t want to waste my time arguing with you—and don’t really know where I’d begin.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

The very least Francis could be doing is raising theological questions on the assertions made in the Islamic codex (which is their code of observance and behavior) known as Sharia, Beginning with this question
http://www.theusmat.com/islamandfreewill.htm
Parties with suppressors of the faith

Francis continuing destructive confusing pontificating on temporal worldly social behavior, which has nothing to do with and avoids articles of faith and has rebuked or restrained contemplative religious orders to favor such behavior . But refuses to question and expound on the profound differences with the claims made by Islam and its followers

Instead of reaching out to and defending what Judeo/Christian beliefs are. Challenging the claims that Islamist make they are following God’s command using deceit and deception when ruthlessly murdering and torturing non believers and destroy their edifice .simply because of its assertion of being monotheistic.

Then winds up making a point of honoring it and placing islam on an equal level because of that claim. Is leading to misguided conversions which is the result of my so called Pope playing games with this so called mono theistic cult and a serious fracture within Christianity and The Roman Rite .

“Pope asks universities to disseminate his claim ‘diversity of religions’ is ‘willed by God’”

And the Church of Satan rejoiced on hearing this news.

The Holy Spirit let him be elected by the college of cardinals.

Unless you’re going to tell us that the Holy Spirit doesn’t guide the college of cardinals in the selection of the pope, too.

So, does He or does He not?

Is the college of cardinals making the decision on who the next pope be with the leading of the Holy Spirit, or without?

My sister lives in highly Catholic, liberal Western NY and she says all the Catholics she knows there just LOVE the pope.

No he didn’t. He equated the RC church to be equal to Islam. Catholic and Christian aren’t interchangeable terms.

It will be a crime to be a Christian soon enough.

The Scriptures, which is God’s revelation to us, make it clear that there is only one true God, and that all other gods are demons and false gods. This pope elevates political activism above Scripture.

You missed that the entire Catholic religion is built on lies, just like any other religion. The only truth is Jesus Christ and God’s word.

Ex cathedra? No, not even close. The Abu Dhabi Declaration is essentially a diplomatic document, not an encyclcical or a definition of doctrine by any stretch of the imagination.

However, that hardly serves to minimize the damage Francis is perpetrating. He knows the public impact his "diplomacy" has. The very fact that he gave this wink and nod that he means all religions are "permissively" willed, is nothing but bafflegab.

Since everything that exists is either positivly willed, or permitted by God, we could just as accurately say that childhood cancer, or paranoid schizophrenia, or mortal sin are "willed" by God (nudge, nudge, I mean permissively.)

He's not only insinuating heresy, he's also showing his contempt for us all by crossing his fingers and whispering "but, heh-heh, no, not really..."

It is infuriating.

That’s terrible. Discernment and critical thinking are basically dead for so many people in so many areas, not just religion.
