How much Christianity-derived hate do we see in the world? Not much, from what I've seen throughout my life. Yet, Christians are being tortured and put to death now, in this century, in this time. This Pope appears to be blinded by political correctness, and maybe ideological (non-religious) biases as well. Those don't fit well with being Peter's successor, and keeper of the truth.

You missed that the entire Catholic religion is built on lies, just like any other religion. The only truth is Jesus Christ and God’s word.

However, that hardly serves to minimize the damage Francis is perpetrating. He knows the public impact his "diplomacy" has. The very fact that he gave this wink and nod that he means all religions are "permissively" willed, is nothing but bafflegab.
Since everything that exists is either positivly willed, or permitted by God, we could just as accurately say that childhood cancer, or paranoid schizophrenia, or mortal sin are "willed" by God (nudge, nudge, I mean permissively.)
He's not only insinuating heresy, he's also showing his contempt for us all by crossing his fingers and whispering "but, heh-heh, no, not really..."
It is infuriating.

That’s terrible. Discernment and critical thinking are basically dead for so many people in so many areas, not just religion.
