In an interview with The Christian Post, Getty said many modern worship songs focus on emotionalism rather than sound doctrineI call them "Jesus is my Boyfriend" songs.

A call for improving upon all the current “7-11” worship songs: the same 7 verses repeated 11 times.

I concur....most of the so called "praise music" is very shallow and emotion driven.
The old hymns are so rich in theology. I do miss those.

Are there any churches in existence that a) have the wisdom of a teacher/pastor like Charles Stanley, b) have praise and worship music that isn’t all contemporary new age style like this Hillsongs/ Getty stuff, and c) has the amenities of a large church with the great sound system and visual screens? It’s like you can find old churches but they have a and b but the church is so small and old the congregation is dying literally and figuratively.

I read the title as: Modern Warship Movement... Same here :-) I was like, what do warships have to do with it? LOL
To: SeekAndFind
I can usually tell when a worship song is honoring to the Lord or it’s just fluff and it’s the worship band showing off. It is when singing it, tears come to my eyes and communion with the Lord is undeniable.

That's true for nearly all Evangelical and Pentecostal groups - they focus on playing on your emotions exclusively Because you have visited nearly all Evangelical and Pentecostal groups' worship services and you said so?

Yes, this is try of the shallowness of the E and P groups. Ah well, they’ll be gone tomorrow when their rap act fails

I am very encouraged at this moment. I am listening to one of our high school students practice the piano. He just finished with Jesus, I Need Thee. Now, he is playing, I Surrender All. This makes me very happy.

It isnt unusual to find a church that will not even display a crossThe further evolving P&E groups consider that idolization (though they have idol-type pastors and pastoresses)

The further evolving P&E groups consider that idolization Its a symbol. Like a chalice or fish. That is significantly different than an idol. Of course, the fact that people are too ignorant to know this is revealing itself.

Nah, the unusual is seeing a P&E meeting place that does recognize the crucifixion and resurrection.
Most just want to have the la-di-da - Gad is muh boyfrien’
That’s why the P&E movement, like the Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Mormons - all 19th century creations — all of them are hurtling away from Christianity and heading in the direction of the Universalist Unitarians.
Ah well - new fangled movements, whaddyaexpect?
