That is true. It is a symbol signifying the triumph of the cross - and that we are not ashamed to have this as a symbol of our God.
Muslims in particular still see this as shameful

You are hereby invited.
Thank you. I’m in Florida, but if I’m ever near there I will look up East Acres Baptist Church. I appreciate the invite!
Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout to the rock of our salvation! Let us enter His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him in song. (Psalm 95:1,2)
Yes we sing for joy to the Lord, we also worship Him, hear His word and pray to Him.
The problem with the Es and Ps is that they isolate only the emotions. And then their pasters just play on the emotion
The perfect example is Benny Hinn.
I think maybe you don't comprehend why I disagree with your comments. Let me explain - it's quite simple actually - you CANNOT know how, why nor what all Es (Evangelicals) and Ps (Protestants) do within the praise and worship portions of their church services. You are generalizing and, in the process, you condemn them all as only playing on emotion rather than theological truth within the context of praise music. Though I agree that there are examples of some who do that, in my own experience there are more who do not. Praising the Lord together with all wisdom, as we sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in our hearts to God is one of the most beautiful experiences we can have as Christians. Maybe you just haven't visited the right churches yet.
