Isn’t praying to Mary a form of idolatry?

She is not God.

She doesn’t have an ‘in’ with the big guy, so as to ‘intercede’ for you.

Satan wants people to run like scalded cats. Or like the Apostles running from Jesus in His hour of crisis.

Satan knows Scripture too. He knows "I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will scatter."

Scattering is Step Two of his two-step plan. I'm pretty sure Christ does not want us to cooperate with that. He does not want us to just wring our hands and whimper, and then hand the Enemy the victory.

It's pathetic. People are talking about splitting who are not even fasting.

That would be the first time I ever heard that someone's mother doesn't have an 'in' with her Child.

The natural home of Catholics is at the foot of the Cross with John the Beloved and our devastated mother Mary.

Where else would you expect to find the Church?

I can point to many baby-daddies that would differ.

The current Roman Catholic leadership are Babylon the Great, mother of Harlots. They are not the body of Christ, like the thousands of Bible believing churches who love Jesus and stand against idolatry and homosexuality. Jesus never stayed with the corrupt Jewish establishment, why would you stay with a corrupt Roman establishment?

Why not? She had in "in" with the "big guy" at the wedding of Cana.

I’m going to try the Lutherans.

Have had it with The Church for. years...but on Easter Sunday, I’ll probably still go to the Catholic Cathedral in town because the choir is outstanding. They also sing at the local symphony hall for $35, which I’d rather contribute to the church.

My heathen daughter who lives 50 miles away wants to come and bring her elderly, interesting, Catholic neighbors with her.

A “Cradle Catholic,” I lost interest in The Church at Marquette University when the Jesuits were absolutely evil to me...though I was one of the top students there...couldn’t abide girls then and still can’t. They can go suck rocks. As can this disgusting excuse for a pope.

The natural home of Catholics is at the foot of the Cross with John the Beloved and our devastated mother Mary.

The natural home of Christians is in the bosom of the risen, exalted and glorified Christ, raised with Him and seated in Him in the heavenlies, with every Christian true believer of all time and eternity to come - all filled with joy and praise for God.

From the prefix to CS Lewis’ Mere Christianity

I hope no reader will suppose that “mere” Christianity is here put forward as an alternative to the creeds of the existing communions — as if a man could adopt it in preference to Congregationalism or Greek Orthodoxy or anything else.
[Mere Christianity] is more like a hall out of which doors open into several rooms. If I can bring anyone into that hall I shall have done what I attempted. But it is in the rooms, not in the hall, that there are fires and chairs and meals.
The hall is a place to wait in, a place from which to try the various doors, not a place to live in. For that purpose the worst of the rooms (whichever that may be) is, I think, preferable.
It is true that some people may have to wait in the hall for a considerable time. . . . You must keep on praying for light: and, of course, even in the hall you must begin trying to obey the rules which are common to the whole house. And above all you must be asking which door is the true one; not which pleases you best by its paint and paneling. In plain language, the question should never be: “Do I like that kind of service?” but “Are these doctrines true: Is holiness here? Does my conscience move me towards this?”
When you have reached your own room, be kind to those who have chosen different doors, and to those who are still in the hall. If they are wrong they need your prayers all the more; and if they are your enemies, then you are under orders to pray for them. That is one of the rules common to the whole house.

The corrupt Jewish establishment of which you speak---the Sanhedrin who plotted His arrest and crucifixion---were not those He had called to be Apostles.

Don't imagine for one minute that any of this is surprising to HIm.

Jesus replied to them, "Didn't I choose you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil."(JOhn 6:70)

If we were to decamp when the worst possible things were happening, the Church would not have survived past Good Friday.

Split? Sure. After HIs arrest every one of them split. Except John.

It is for us to stay at the Cross---pray, suffer, wait---not head for safety or more congenial company.

That's funny that you would say that, since Jesus Christ founded only one Church and He prayed that they all be one.

So I should go to a church that hates me?

No way, Jose. Not good for my soul.

Revelation 18:4

Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “’Come out of her, my people,’ so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;

There are some things we should run from.
