Did God chose Pope Francis? Obviously not! So some other force is running the Roman Church. Jesus rejected the Jewish religious order for the same reason. You would be in good company!

Is Turkey the only place on earth that has churches?

Stupid question. What do you think?

You asked the math question. Since you agree that Turkey is one of many nations with multiple churches, that is how we get from 7 to “thousands”

It's easy to do.

"Did God chose Pope Francis? Obviously not!"

Agree. It would be unreasonable to think that God's positive will could desire a heretic to assume the Chair of Peter.

God's permissive will is another story. He could permit Jorge Bergoglio, just as He could choose and permit Judas, though He does not force anybody tom sin.

"Jesus replied to them, 'Didn't I choose you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil.'"(John 6:70)

"So some other force is running the Roman Church."

In exactly the same sense that "some other force" influenced Peter, James and John to be unable to pray with Jesus for even one hour at His time of crisis; influenced Judas to betray Jesus; influenced Peter to deny Him three times; influenced all the rest (except John) to abandon Him to His enemies in sheer cowardice and fear.

Same Church---still His Church---now, as then: and we call this the "Mysterium Iniquitatis"--the Mystery of Iniquity.

"In other words,Jesus rejected the Jewish religious order for the same reason. You would be in good company!"

Jesus did not reject the Twelve. They were all restored, except for Judas who hanged himself in despair; and he was replaced by the first Apostolic successor in what would be a chain of successors for the Apostles, stretching from then until now.

No, Jesus has not abandoned the Church. He knows EXACTLY what He is dealing with here. But He does not hate His Body; He does not hate His Bride.

So the apostles went back to the corrupt Jewish Establishment? No! They were called out and started a new establishment. When the Jewish Religious establishment rejected God’s Word after Josiah, Ezekiel wrote about God’s Spirit leaving the Temple desolate. The Holy Spirit has left the corrupt Roman Catholic Church (and other churches that promote homosexuality and idolatry).

"So the apostles went back to the corrupt Jewish Establishment?"

I didn't say that.

Careful reading pays off.

Me:"The corrupt Jewish establishment of which you speak---the Sanhedrin who plotted His arrest and crucifixion---were *not* those He had called to be Apostles."(Emphasis added.)

I said the exact opposite of what you assumed I said.

Like it or not, the Saducess/Pharisees WERE the Jewish Religious Leadership. Jesus did not stay in to help make it better. He rejected them for evil. Why would you stay in a corrupt organization?

Good Shepherding 101, Final Exam Question:

Sheepfold, full of vulnerable ewes and lambs, is in danger from enemies within: wolves in shepherds' clothing. You are supposed to:

(A) run

(B) sound the alarm, be alert, stand up and fight, build up the Church in truth.

It's not like we weren't explicitly told we'd be facing spiritual warfare.

Acts 20:29-32
I know that after my departure
fierce wolves will come in among you,
not sparing the flock;
and from among your own selves
will arise men speaking twisted things,
to draw away the disciples after them.
Therefore be alert,
remembering that for three years
I did not cease night or day
to admonish every one with tears.
And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace,
which is able to build you up
and to give you the inheritance
among all those who are sanctified.

"Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood." - Acts 20:28

"Everything must be done so that the Church may be built up." - 1 Corinthians 14:26

"The Church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth." - 1 Timothy 3:15

"This is the Great Mystery: I am speaking of Christ and the Church." - Eph. 5:32

Sorry for your experience, my Jesuit teachers and non-teachers were all kind to me.
