Could be dementia. But also keep in mind that Robertson has been an apologist for the ChiComs. I can remember him shocking pro-lifers some years back when he said that the Chinese were essentially doing what they needed to do with their one-child, forced abortion policy.

Robertson is a false Prophet.

Deut 18:21 You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD?” 22 If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him.

Deut 18:20 But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death.”

I get what you are saying. For several years, I valued this man’s opinion and thought that most of them were spot-on but he has gradually changed over the years. I don’t all together attribute it to old age dementia either. He has shown himself to be a “garden-club” Republican but used to be extremely conservative. I wouldn’t call him a member of the deep-state either but his opinions have been more and more off the wall. You are right...it is very sad. I think his sphere of influence has significantly decreased. He is out in left field (literally).

Senility has overtaken Pat. In fact it did a few years ago.

”Robertson is a false Prophet.”

Yes he is. There are tons of false prophets, false apostles, and just plain clueless pastors out there these days. The Charismatic Movement, New Apostolic Movement, and prosperity gospel are three foundation stones of the last days apostate church. There are very few true, saved believers in any of them, though many who believe they are. All of these “movements” have abandoned scripture as the only source of divine revelation during the Church era, and have instead been seduced by false, “direct revelation.”

There’s a reason that Jesus said, “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” The mega churches full of thousands or tens of thousands of alleged “Christians”, all marinating in false gospels of “prosperity” or “signs and wonders” are just the beginnings of the apostate church, from which will come very few who will find the narrow gate. Churches like Bethel in Redding, CA are not Christian in any sense whatsoever, and are in fact thoroughly pagan, practicing things like “grave soaking” and Christian tarot readings, outright faking “glory clouds” coming down from the ceiling (which turns out to be mere plastic glitter, dumped into the HVAC system), and non-Biblical obsession with “miracles” that of course they can’t really perform.

Then we have churches like Rick Warren’s Saddleback, and Bill Hybels’ Willow Creek, which are really more left-leaning social justice platforms than they are true churches. And it goes on, and on, and on.... Virtually any church that suddenly pops up with a hip-sounding, one word name, like “Elevation” or “Elevate”, “Connect”, “Renew”, “Pulse”, “Vibe”, etc. is guaranteed to have a pastor with no formal training, a disdain for any type of doctrine, and a focus on a false, feelings and experience-based “gospel”, devoid of the need for repentance, or of any mention of sin at all.

It’s all very sad and frustrating to watch. So many are so deceived, and there are more wolves in sheep’s clothing leading false churches these days than there are real, Bible-based churches pastored by men devoted to the true gospel (and no, women cannot be pastors - that is a sure sign of a false church). Essentially, if your church has a trendy name and a “pastor” with tattoos, piercings, and fashionably ripped jeans, run for the exit. You have very little chance of hearing the gospel there. Or if your church is part of some “movement”, run even faster; Biblical truth is all-sufficient, needs no new “direct revelation” to supplement it, and does not change. “Movements” are just vehicles to introduce error and false doctrines into the church. Just look, for example, at the Charismatic Movement which has, since its inception at Azusa in the early 1900s, introduced an unending string of unbiblical heresies.

Trust only the true gospel, the gospel of Christ crucified, and of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone. And remember that the Biblical cannon is closed, and anyone claiming to be a prophet or apostle in this present age is lying or delusional. If we want to hear God’s voice today we have one way that is certain: the Biblical text.

The apostle Peter, who had been granted the ultimate “spiritual experience” when he was allowed to see Christ transfigured right in front of his very eyes, nevertheless exhorted believers to seek God’s voice in the written word, rather than via our fallible impressions. He said, “... we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain. 19 And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, 20 knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation.”

What he was saying is that the written Scripture is a more certain source of God’s revelation than even the Savior himself transfigured right in front of him. The reason he said this is that no matter how powerful an experience seems, it is subjective and can be easily distorted (or produced outright) by our own physical senses or emotions. However, the written Word doesn’t change, and is not subject to the whims or even deceptions of some self-appointed “prophet.” Therefore, flee from anyone who tells you that “God told me” something, unless what they mean is that they read it in the Bible, and the Holy Spirit illuminated its meaning to them. Even then, check their interpretation against the text yourself.

We all need to be Bereans.

Perfect example of taking a sentence and a word or two from a persons statement and using them out of context to write an anti-Trump screed.

Ie. Even Robertson, a right-wing hate monger whose office is located in Virginia, angrily attacked Trump as being “ Not cool” and for calling the rioters “jerks”

Trump started out well but needs to keep emphasizing this half of the equation

1) protesting peacefully good

2) looting bad

lately Trump has only been hitting #2

he should know HOW The MSM WILL POSITION IT IF HE DOESN’T-

It’s called “compromising”. And it cannot be done with God’s word. It can’t be changed or softened or cherry picked in order to be all things to all people. Once it is compromised the TRUTH is changed to a LIE and corruption takes over. Pat Robertson is one of many. Joel Osteen is another.

“Televangelist Pat Robertson kicked off today’s episode of “The 700 Club” by reminiscing about the close relationship he had with President George H.W. Bush, who died over the weekend, recounting the time he delivered a “word from the Lord” to Bush urging him to launch the first Gulf War.”

Just one more Bush family asset being deployed.

There’s a purpose of everything under Heaven, we read in the Bible, and there is a time and it seems like now is the time to say, “I understand your pain. I want to comfort you. I think it’s time we love each other.” But the president took a different course: He said, “I am the president of law and order.”

Since when does the Lord sanction lawlessness, mayhem, and murder?

"I am the president of law and order" *IS* understanding, comforting, and loving to those people -- particularly minorities! -- whose lives have been lost, businesses looted, and homes burned by these vermin, you f**king tool!!!!
