Yes. And what do we as Children of Light have to look forward to now?

I believe God in his love and mercy wants to sweep the world once more for souls before it all comes down (Luke 14:22-23). I also believe God has raised America up for such a time as this - to facilitate this soon-coming worldwide re-awaking as a light around the world.

That’s what these flood of satanic attacks these days are all about. As usual, Satan in his Johnny-come-lately role, is trying to assert his power and stop what God has already started, just like he did upon the birth of Jesus when Satan had all the boys killed who were two years and younger. But as then, so now, nothing will stop God in his purpose.

Let us pray that God will raise up America once more for this purpose and that the true grace of our Lord Jesus Christ will flood and capture his people to spread the really good news of the grace of Christ - something for which the world is desperately hungry - that the Master’s house might be full (Luke 14:23).

By the way there’s nothing in the Bible that says that the next temple has to be built EXACTLY on the temple mount. About 18 years ago a group of rabinnical students made that point by laying a ceremonial corner stone right next to the wailing wall. It caused a bit of a scuffle but their point was that there is nothing that says they couldn’t build it anywhere in Jerusalem if the people so chose to do so.

It is traditional to expect that such a temple should be built exactly where the Muslim mosque is now but nothing in the Bible commands that it be so built.

The Bible just says that it will be built. So they can just pick any suitable spot and tell the Muslims to just go on worshipping at their little spot and we’ll just put our temple over here a little to the left...no need to fight a war over it, have a bagel....and there you are end times prophecy fulfilled again!

“True, but Jews don’t believe in our reasoning.”

Yes, but the article is about Christian leaders incorporating Jewish reasoning into their beliefs.

I got into it during the big Hal Lindsey years (late 70’s).

I agree with you about seeing the signs, which is what I do now. I compare us to a shortstop practicing catching grounders, line drives, popups, etc. and being aware that if he does get a grounder, who’s on base, how many outs are there, and knowing what to do when the ball actually hits his mit.

We’re the trained shortstops, smashing our other hand into the mit. Dancing side to side waiting for the ball.

And there’s the windup, and the pitch...

But the temple doesn’t have to be built there as a group of rabbinnical orthodox students pointed out 18 years ago when they laid a ceremonial corner stone next to the wailing wall. There is absolutely nothing in scripture that commands that the temple should be rebuilt at that spot, just ‘bible white space traditionalist conjecture’. Nothing but God’s timing stands in the way of such a rebuild even if the Dome of the Rock is not brought down; the temple theoretically can still be rebuilt in Jerusalem starting anytime!!! The students who laid that cornerstone caused quite a bit of fuss but I suspect because most of the “important” people were aghast at the thought but also suspected the students were right. There is nothing in Torah that says the temple must needs be built where the Dome is now...there just isn’t!

So if we should see a rebuild effort start...don’t be wedded to the old notion that such an effort will be stymied simply because it must be built where everyone “always thought” it should go. Instead get ready for the final denouement of the times of the gentiles and the rise of Christ!

Coincidently, Turkey is turning the Hagia Sophia into a mosque.

Except the Magi.”

And Simeon & Anna.

And Mary his mother along with his Aunt Elizabeth. A little later, his cousin John the Baptist.

Many people are afraid but we need not be. Jesus (Yashuah) is revealed to the world for who he is and he stops all evil dead in its tracks.

Perhaps those who fear need to turn to God and confess their sins...and turn from those wicked ways. God sees evil differently from us. We need to see through His eyes. He will show you if you ask.

Israel coming back together as a nation in 1948 set the countdown. The generation that sees that happen. It’s been 72 years. What comprises a generation?

The Temple has to be in place by the middle of the 7 years of tribulation. But with modern building techniques, it could go up very quickly. We could actually enter the 7 years of tribulation before the Temple is built.

“Remember, there’s no time-clock ticking that we can discern during this current 2000-year dispensation of grace among the gentiles (’no man knows the day or the hour’) but we do know ‘the times and the seasons’, and as Children of Light, we should be aware the end of the age is very near. Certain signs like the third temple, tell us the end is very near.”

I don’t think it is correct to say we know the times and seasons. Paul said he did not need to write the Thessalonians about times and seasons, but that is because the Day of the Lord comes like a thief:

1 Thessalonians 5:1-10 (NKJV)
But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

Consider this passage:

Acts 1:7 (NKJV)
And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.”

We do not know the day, hour, time, or season. We have been given signs that are contained in the Olivet Discourse, among other passages.

I agree.

Psalm 90:10
The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

That’s one version of a generation anyways in our measured methods.

“But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.” 1 Thess 5:4-6.

We absolutely SHOULD know the times and the seasons.

The times: We are now in the beginning of the Seventh Millennium (the 21st Century) which indicates God’s rest - the time when Jesus Christ will bring rest to the earth as he reigns for 1000 years.

The seasons: The world is quickly becoming very dark as all the elements of the tribulation are quickly being put into place. In the meantime, IMO God is ready to launch Luke 14:23 - his last in-gathering of souls to be rescued from the horror shortly to come.

IMO, this 21st Century - and again the beginning of the 7th Millennium - will not end until the church and Holy Spirit are taken out of the world, the horrific Seventieth Week of Daniel occurs, and Christ has set up his rule over the Earth in Jerusalem. I believe this century will be the most amazing century ever seen

Psalm 90 is a prayer of Moses. He is describing the results of the rebellion against God that the children of Israel committed at Kadesh-barnea.( Numbers 14). Everyone over age 20 would die before entering the Promised Land. Moses says that most of them are dying around age 70. Verse 10 applies only to those people and does not limit the length of life of believing Christians today.
