Interesting how you and all your commandment breaking friends drop a load of crap on people, then when you are challenged, you cave? “my last advice to you” Yes, there will be wailing and gnashing but you may be surpised where it’s coming from. It is so easy for you and MHGinTN to condemn someone for not believing what YOU say bible truth is. Me, and countless millions of CHRISTIANS, or cultists as you like to call us (and I’m not just talking about SDA’s), disagree with you. I will say this: on salvation worthy matters there is only one truth. You and many others are on the wide path and need to focus in on the narrow gate.

Matthew 7: 12In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the Prophets. 13Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.…

You and MHGinTN treated ADSUM like dirt (others on this site as well) Think about that Mr. Christian with all the answers.

Why do many christian believers fail to accept the true teachings of Jesus and fail to acknowledge the authority of the Catholic Church he founded?

Mainly, I suppose, because I just don’t agree with your interpretations. I did at one time, but I don’t anymore. I am comfortable with that.

I am sorry to hear that you left the Catholic faith.

It is not my interpretation of the word of God, but the authoritative role of the Catholic Church that has passed down the teachings of Jesus over the centuries.

May you find the wisdom and truth in the Word of God and the Sacraments that were given to us for our salvation.

My understanding is that Jesus and His Blessed Mother have given many warnings that we need to change our ways from sin, and that the world has not listened, and Jesus will send a warning of 3 days of darkness with fire from the sky that will show people their souls and many will die and leave with Satan.

I left the Catholic church and became Lutheran Christian long ago. When I was taking Lutheran lessons, my Catholic co-workers at a Catholic hospital asked me why I was reading the Bible. They never had — but should have!

It is good to read the new Testament and the old Testament which Jesus fulfills. As Catholics, we do hear the readings from both the Old and New Testament at every Mass. Many of us do not pray or read as frequently as we would like.

Do you miss the Mass and the Eucharist and Confession?

Why did you leave the Catholic faith?

Thanks for your service working at a hospital.

God did not give us a religious system to get to Him.

He gave His Son.

Catholics follow religion/Catholicism.

We follow Jesus directly and His teaching found in His word, which is not all that hard to understand, like qualifications for church leadership, how to do church disciple, call no man father, do not eat blood, avoid sexual immorality, none of which are difficult to understand in the least.

We don’t need a religion to teach us how to weasel out of obeying the clear plain meaning of the words of Jesus.

So did Jesus command His disciples to sin by commanding them to eat blood? It violated the law, IOW was sin. They were under the Law at that point as Jesus had not died (finished, done deal) and rose again, so the Law was still in effect at the Last Supper.

In reading John 6, it is clear that those who turned away and followed Jesus no longer knew what God had commanded on more than one occasion to not eat the blood for the life is in the blood. They were, like the Catholic apologists on this thread, unable to make the connection to spiritual meaning. Perhaps because they were so completely focused upon how they could earn eternal life by their works keeping the commandments. And the same failure is in evidence in the thinking of ADSUM and Philsworld.

But the ones who stayed with Jesus knew enough to trust fully in His Words, thus He explained that the physical flesh profteth nothing , that the Words He spoke they were spirit and truth ... those words were spiritual in meaning. So the Catholic org, and the Seventh Day Adventist Org teach the carnal perspective of 'striving to keep the Laws' because it ultimately empowers that Org and deflects souls from the real Truth Jesus taught, that it is a spiritual rebirth FIRST, not a carnal exercise to earn Grace.

Your comment;”God did not give us a religious system to get to Him.”

God gave us the Catholic Church and the Word made Flesh his only begotten son.

Catholics understand the Truth of Jesus.

Many others (including some non practicing Catholics) follow man made doctrines that is not the Truth of Jesus. Yes you think you don’t need the Body of Christ (the Catholic Church), so you just fabricate non biblical doctrine so that you feel no need to obey the teachings of Jesus.

For example, you deny the clear Truth of Jesus in John Chapter 6 of the gift God gave us in His true Body and Blood in addition to dying on the cross for our sins.

No matter what you say or believe or fabricate, I believe Jesus Christ and I believe that I am receiving the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus when I receive the Eucharist. He abides in me and I in Him.

May you find God’s Peace. I did pray for you today at Mass that you may find your way back to the Catholic faith.

God gave us the Catholic Church

No, that was the result of syncretic paganism, as the church was invaded by falsehood.

you deny the clear Truth of Jesus in John Chapter 6

No FRiend, we don't believe you are teaching what Christ meant. Your church simply looks at words and declares what is meant without context, nor correlation. Your call.

I believe that I am receiving the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus when I receive the Eucharist.

Christ is not a wafer - or the RC church would not need false glory in the form of the monstrance in order to see the glorified Christ.

Real believers have the entirety of Christ every moment of every day indwelling them. The Lord's Suppor is "in memory" until He returns.

Your call.

I did pray for you today at Mass that you may find your way back to the Catholic faith.

No sale. I left the religion of Rome and received Christ instead, and with Him eternal life and joy untold. No way I'd ever go back to paganism. I in turn will pray you come to know Himself and not just a church that can never save.

...............

It is most amazing that Satan led the Roman Church into syncretic paganism.

Rome had one job - lead people to the Gospel of Grace that could save.

Instead, they incorporated pagan rituals, a pantheon of demigoddesses and demigods, a system of merit, indulgences, visions that contradict the scripture, amulets, and a gay priesthood.

It is stunning.

Against that is the simplicity of the Gospel of Grace that is the only pathway of savlation.
