Don’t Call It A Comeback!
Those darn Russkies are stealing it!....................
Oh, THE HORROR! THE SKY IS FALLING!
Just wait till it really happens...
Add a couple gallons of sunblock to your prepper stocks.
One of the first evidences of plate tectonics was of the variation in magnetization of the ocean beds. The poles have been changing periodically forever.
And as you allude to - the concern is when the field switches there is a period of weakness. Which may allow the full strength of the Sun’s harmful affects to impact the Earth.
2070 eh? Sounds about right. I can’t see humankind lasting any longer than that with the incredible decay of basic morals created by commies. Isaac Newton predicted around 2070 as the end of the Age. Throw in supernatural disasters and voala! It’s Showtime baby.
It’s worse than that.
Our sun is a periodic micronova, with a periodicity of about 12,000 years. Last outburst was about 12,000 years ago. The next one will be different as it will coincide with a very low terrestrial magnetic field.
That will be bad.
In spades!
If Liberals say it is possible for earthlings to control climate change, then certainly we can find a fix for The magnetic pole and ferrous fluids moving around in the earth’s core.
Dunno. But it’s worth sending a bunch down to investigate the possibility...
Do you really think Malachi even knew about magnetic poles?
By the way, it doesn’t take a profit to predict that the pole moves and shifts since it moves continuously and has shifted many times.
If your first sentence is true, it negates your second one...
...just sayin’.
As well as a huge incresae in Cosmic Rays !
But it does take a profit to have more money then when you started !
However, this is ‘pure fantasy’.
The reason that dramatic events like earthquakes are unlikely is because of the difference between Earth’s liquid core, and its mantle. The mantle is responsible for tectonic shifts, which cause earthquakes, and although the mantle and liquid core do make contact, it would take millions of years for any changes in the liquid core to affect the mantle and disrupt the tectonic plates.
during previous magnetic pole reversals as seen in the tectonic layers - No worldwide shifting of continents or other planet-wide disasters occurred, as geoscientists can testify to from fossil and other records
The reversal of the poles can take up to 10,000 years to take full effect, so we shouldn’t really worry ourselves just yet. During this process, the magnetic field, which protects us from harmful solar radiation and solar winds by deflecting charged particles, will weaken considerably, to around 10% of the current strength. Then, for a while, it will appear that there are two poles, before fully changing to the opposite direction
41,000 years ago, Earth experienced the Laschamp Event, in which the poles reversed temporarily started to change over the course of 2,000 years, with the actual polarity change lasting just 250 years.
Where did you get that? There is no such term as “Micronova” in astronomy.
There was a Carrington event in the 1860s, but that just resulted in brighter aurorae borealis
to be fair they say earthlings influence climate change over thousands of years.
This is true as seen in
1. the middle east in the Neolithic period (10KYA) was green and forested on its east Mediterranean shore. Then with agriculture and lumbering it was denuded.
2. North africa was a bread basket of the Roman empire - but then the Arabs brought goats and the environment was destroyed.
3. Iraq was a desert until irrigation made Sumeria, Akkadia etc. - this lasted until the Mongols destroyed it
4. Industrial pollution since the early 1800s has damaged the environment.
Now where I disagree with the envirowackos is the level of involvement and what needs to be done about it. We can easily improve things and HAVE improved things without going full on hippie
