1) The south pole has already left antarctica and the north pole is racing across the arctic ocean.
2) “Earth’s magnetic poles are getting ready to flip.” -Mission Manager, SWARM/ESA
3) The magnetic field began weakening in 1600.
4) The magnetic field weakened 10% from the 1800s to 2000.
5) Earth’s magnetic field was weakening 5% per century, but now is weakening 5% per decade.
6) The magnetic field is continuing to weaken rapidly.
7) Magnetic reversals can occur in less than 100 years.

Please do feel free to poo-poo the data...

Take the first statement you posted.

It makes it dramatic soundin7.

However the south pole has been drifting away from Antarctica for the past 200 years, slowly.

The South Magnetic Pole is constantly shifting due to changes in Earth’s magnetic field. As of 2005 it was calculated to lie at 64°31′48″S 137°51′36″E, placing it off the coast of Antarctica, between Adélie Land and Wilkes Land. In 2015 it lay at 64.28°S 136.59°E (est). That point lies outside the Antarctic Circle. Due to polar drift, the pole is moving northwest by about 10 to 15 kilometres (6 to 9 mi) per year. Its current distance from the actual Geographic South Pole is approximately 2,860 km (1,780 mi). The nearest permanent science station is Dumont d’Urville Station.

It’s constantly moving around. Not some overnight change

The second statement. WHICH mission manager? Name, and when?

Magnetic Pole shifts are a geologic regular thing. You can see it along the earths crust in the Atlantic.

Now, a earth crust shift is a horse of a different color.

With all due respect to Mr. Kulloch, he should take a lesson from Galileo and stick to practicing science and refrain from amateurish attempts at interpreting Sacred Scripture.

The Carington event, which was just a solar flare, also damaged telegraph lines, set fires in many of the telegraph stations, and jolted the north magnetic pole into rapid motion. It's already crossed 'over the top' of the geographic north pole and is well on its way to Russia.

A Carington event today would pretty much wipe out electrical power world wide. That might be a problem.

Micronova is a term coined by Ben Davidson, "Micronova is the name informally given to the type of smaller nova that may occur on the sun and other stars, with effects vastly different from a super flare. There is the release of a shell of ejecta, just not like supernova we hear about in the news and in movies." Weatherman's Guide to the Sun, third edition, page 240.

There's a nice little table of cosmic events vs luminosity in ergs from the Big Bang at 1075 ergs down to most solar flares at 1026 to 1031 ergs.

Super flares (i.e. directed jets of ejecta) and the subset of micronova (i.e. a 'global' shell of ejecta) are in the 1032 to 1040 range. He notes that the largest super flare on our Sun is likely to be ~1034, while a solar micronova could be as much as ~1035.

The Carrington event was ~1032 ergs.

YMMV...

I don’t have that info. It might take a while to dig it out. Is it more important to know Jupiter has moons, or to know Galileo discovered them?

8 July 2014 - Earth’s magnetic field, which protects the planet from huge blasts of radiation, has been weakening over the past six months, says weakening, but one likely reason is that Earth’s magnetic poles are getting ready to flip, said Rune Floberghagen, the ESA’s Swarm mission manager.

Wonderful place, the internet...

Some geologists suggest an earth crust shift happened during Noah’s flood - that is if you believe in Noah’s flood.

1. Who is ben davidson? He seems to be a conspiracy theorist who believes that V is actually a documentary.

2. Solar flares even of the order of a Carington event would damage some electric points, but not a worldwide outage and even in the places affected it would be temporary - less than the Texas outage.

btw, do you actually read/listen to that ben davidson???!?!

you posted “Earth’s magnetic poles are getting ready to flip.” -Mission Manager, SWARM/ESA

I asked you "which Mission Manager? Name? When did (s)he say this?" and I'll add "in what context"

If you don't know these things, you can't quote - it's like saying "unknown sources allege that Trump did x-a-b"

So why didn’t you check it first and post his name?

Also, do read what he actually said

“Rune Floberghagen, the mission manager for Swarm, told Live Science that this new data could mean that a flip is due within the next few hundred years, contrary to earlier estimates of around 2,000 years from now.”

Due in the next “few hundred years” — and he doesn’t mean a flip in a day more a centuries if not thousands of years process.

Sheesh - why do rapture theorists not actually check what they repeat?

“Is it more important to know Jupiter has moons, or to know Galileo discovered them?”

That’s a nonsensical statement.

You posted that some nameless “mission manager” allegedly said something. No information about the time, place, who it was or the context.

The context turns out to be that this will be a centuries if not millenia long process that would start in the next 200 years.

Yes. This puts me in the position of actually knowing what he said, as opposed to deciding he's all wrong and poo-poo flinging.

Note that does NOT mean I agree with everything he says.

It just means I'm not like the entire scientific community was when they rejected Wegener's Continental Drift Theory out of hand in 1912, under the quite reasonable objection that they couldn't imagine little outboard motors driving the continents around!

This morning I dreamt I was on a street, fleeing something bad. Looked up & saw a flash of lightning, but it was a perfectly straight line. Two older women were standing nearby, all of us scared... and then in that same place in the sky, a rectangle appeared & became a doorframe. The doors opened downward, and then something like water & light beamed down thru. The two ladies and I looked at each other again, this time with great joy! We raised our arms & started praising the Lord!!
