The subject: He hailed the “revolutionary liturgical reforms” which were proposed by Vatican II and furthered by Pope Paul VI,...
It has been said that Pope Paul VI, “very late in the day of his papacy, realized that the original dual purpose of the [Jesuits] had been changed. Under his pontificate, an extensive critical dossier about the Society was compiled. ... For Jesuits, the papacy no longer held primacy of position.”
And now we have a Jesuit pope, and under him the heresiarchs are having a field day.
Thank you for your perfect explanation.
Even a hipster Hindu ex Anglican priest from the 60’s who has lectures available on You Tube has one where he talks about what a mistake it was for the Catholics to give up on the Latin Mass. He talks about losing all the majesty beauty and mystery of Mass. A valid point I believe.
The mentality of those who choose to become Jesuits is laid bare with this.
Apparently so they don’t get distracted from the more important doctrine of socialism and world government.
All of which were codified in the Second Vatican Council by the modernists: New Mass, New Catechism, New Calendar, New Bible and most importantly, the New Theology, the New Pentecost and the New Springtime.
VC II has been the springboard excuse for all the heretical novelties introduced into the Catholic Church ever since, most notably by Bergoglio.
We have to look no further than the mega church multimedia liturgies with light shows, thumping guitars, pounding drums and “relevant” prayers to see where this is going. My sainted mother a convert to Catholicism, often said that if you need to entertain young people to get them to church their being there didn’t mean much.
When I was little, ohhh about 55 years ago or so (time flies!), my mum took us to this Episcopalian church. We stayed in the worship part of the service where everybody sang & did some prayers.
Then, all the children were ushered off to Sunday School not to be heard of or thought about until it was time to go home. It was fun for us as we learned about Jesus and could play and sing little kids songs.
Many moons later, as a mom, I had my own young kids, sitting in the pews with the kids. No Sunday School to speak of in this non-denominational church at that time. It was difficult to think Godly things, let alone pray: (”I’m gonna KILL that kid when I get home!” and ‘Why the HELL is that kid doing that NOW?!) while telling your kids as softly as you can, “Sit down now”, “No, you can’t color in the nice book you got from the rack on the back of the pew in front of us!”, “No, you can’t go talk to so & so”, “I don’t care what they’re doing, you can’t do it too!” and of course, the most famous that everyone can hear: “SHHHH!”
So there’s something to be said about sending your most valuable, precious being off to someone else’s hands as they may not be old enough to sit in the pew without bothering the parent(s) or others around them.
Kids are special and if you have another Godly project or place to send them, I applaud it.
This isn’t about maintaining a reverent atmosphere.
There's nothing more Godly for a young child that the Traditional Latin Mass; he or she deserves no less.
Broke up with my Catholic gf over this kind of issue. I’m on the trad side, of course. Very sad, I probably won’t find another at this age.
All Jesuits should be laicized.
“Why banned? I don’t get it.”
Because it is superior in all ways to the cartoon mass put out after VatII.
Including Jorge the Humble.
Read later.
When and where any clergical supporter of homo sexual activity appear. They should be confronted by their parishioners present after vigorously showing their disgust leave the scene (church) emptying it.
“Including Jorge the Humble.”
Indeed.
