So when is Hunter Biden joining the College of Cardinals?
Ann Barnhardt is gonna be interesting to read on this one...
He’s worried about running out of priests!!!
Most priests are fine - maybe not exactly inspired leaders or ministers, but morally okay and not interested in little boys or even teenage boys.
Most friends of Francis are not ok. They are either morally compromised or financially corrupt. Birds of a feather, I suspect.
In Frankenchurch, one can rape children, and retain one's clerical status
That isn't what the article says. Whether it's true or not is a different question, but you can't get that from the article.
For the benefit of those who may not know what the article is talking about, a "religious" priest (a priest who is a member of a religious order, like the Dominicans, Franciscans, or Jesuits), unlike a "secular" priest (bound to a diocese, not an order) has a membership in his order that is distinct (a) from his clerical status as a priest; and (b) from his "incardination" (his privilege to function as a priest in a particular diocese).
All this article is saying is that +Francis has amended canon law to delete the automatic expulsion of a "religious" priest from his religious order. It's up to his religious superiors to expel him, which is probably how it should be.
The treatment of the priest's other two credentials, his clerical status and his incardination, remain unchanged. As the article points out, canon law says that serious crimes against the sixth commandment by a cleric are to be punished by a "just punishment," among which canon law specifically mentions permanent dismissal from the clerical state.
Nominated for sainthood.
Well, you may agree with Bergoglio's kid-gloves treatment of homosexual predators; but I'm more inclined to agree with St Peter Damian and Jesus Christ:
St. Peter Damian: Gay Clergy ‘Are Deserving of Death’
[41] And whosoever shall scandalize one of these little ones that believe in me; it were better for him that a millstone were hanged around his neck, and he were cast into the sea. Mark, Chapter 9.
And lately, Bergoglio seems to very invested in who the religious superiors are; i.e. the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate.
And finally, do you think God's punishment of the men of Sodom to be too severe or do you think He should have left the punishment up to their "religious superiors"?
