You cannot support doctrine opposite of God and it not matter deeply to HIM.

I don't support abortion. And I'm sure it matters deeply to Him.

But is He going to kick out everyone from His church who didn't have a perfectly clear understanding of every doctrine. Or is He going to keep His promise that whosoever believes on Him shall have everlasting life?

Maybe I missed the part about that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Unless they believe abortion is okay, and then they are dammed to hellfire.

There are a lot of Christians that disagree on abortion.

There were Christians in the New Testament who disagreed on whether it was okay to eat meat that had been sacrificed to idols. No where did it say that one group wasn't Christian because of the stand they took.

Pastor Locke can say whatever he wants. It’s a free country (supposedly). But he’s lumping all Democrats together as evil beings. He dead wrong about that.

But let’s say he’s right. Then maybe those Democrats need to be in a church like his. It’s a tough call. But here’s something to consider, from Matthew 9:

10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples.
11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

81,000,000 murderers is a darn good start.

He can work on the RINOs next.

Anyone who supports abortion, republican or democrat. Anyone who got the vax knowing aborted babies were involved is a questionable Christian. That will be up to God to decide.

The bible is pretty clear on what happens if you harm one of his little ones.

Sinners (Baby-Killing Democrats) of all sorts need to turn to God.

They need to admit they have a problem. Seek out the solution (Jesus), and turn to Him for the remedy.

Matthew 12:50
For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother

Luke 9:23
23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

What does it mean to truly follow Christ?

I’m certain this pastor is speaking of the unrepentant which, unfortunately, are rampant in our churches today. Church doctrine has been watered down and tainted and it’s about time we see church leaders step up and tell people the truth. The church NEEDS to be purged of people that live openly sinful lives and then pretend they are believers. Nothing could be worse for the Witness of Christ than that. See below how Paul handled a sinner in the church. This needs to happen across our nation. Not to the repentant but the UNrepentant.

https://yearinthebible.com/2013/07/10/why-does-paul-instruct-the-church-in-corinth-to-expel-the-sinner-in-chapter-5/

Why Does Paul Instruct the Church in Corinth to Expel the Sinner in Chapter 5?
When Paul says to cast the man out of the church who is sleeping with his father’s wife, it is important to remember everything that he says, lest we miss his point. He begins in verse four with:

Let him who has done this be removed from among you.

But that is not all. A couple verses later he adds:

When you are assembled in the name of the Lord Jesus and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus, you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.

This is not punishment for no purpose. Paul instructs the church in a way to enact discipline on this man for two reasons. What we see in the verse quoted above is “so that his spirit may be saved.” It is the difference between a strictly punitive action and a restorative one. Paul wants the church to, by their expulsion of him, restore his soul. If he wants to be part of the body again, he’ll have to turn from this sin. He can’t just go to the more open-minded church around the block in Corinth. This is his fellowship to which he would seek to restored.

Dough

The other purpose in casting out this man, a man who has sinned in such a way that even the extremely permissive Roman society would condemn him, is to guard the body of believers. His sin is not harmless. It is like a leaven that makes it way into the whole dough. Paul wants to protect this people who he cares greatly about. He’s already compared himself to a mother and a father in his relationship to them. He knows that if this influence remains it will affect the whole church.

So rather than recommend what may have been a Jewish judgment of incest, stoning, or delivering this man before Roman courts for the Roman law he has broken, Paul instructs the body to do something that may save the man’s spirit on the day of the Lord and will protect the life and witness of the church in Corinth.

“he renounced his tax-exempt status “

The pastor at the church we visited two weeks ago said about the same thing — dared the government to strip the church’s tax exemption — just before he gave a bold anti-abortion sermon. He even showed on a big screen that pic of the baby reaching out from the mother’s womb and grabbing the surgeon’s finger. Powerful.

Why does he have to give up the church’s tax exemption? Anyone who doesn’t agree with him isn’t forced to go to his church. The Scriptures are very clear about how precious life is. Human sacrifices are not permitted in the Bible, even if they’re permitted in the secular world. Where’s that church’s freedom of religion if they can now be taxed?

there may be a few dems that don’t agree with abortion and there are certainly some republicans that like killing babies but don’t lose site of the fact that the democrat PLATFORM calls for killing babies. The republican platform does not. So, even if you’re a dem who doesn’t like abortion, every time you pull that lever you are agreeing with the killing of babies.

He’s absolutely correct. I wish I lived in Tennessee.

One cannot be an active Christian and an active Democrat. The two are simply mutually incompatible. Period.

“The question of ‘When does life begin?’, is not an essential question to Christianity.”

Of course it is. The doctrine of the incarnation is essential. Without the incarnation there would be no Christianity. It happened when Mary conceived by the Holy Spirit.

There are “sins unto death” that are distinguished from other sins, such as perhaps “besetting sins”. See 1 John 5:16-17 and Hebrews 12:1-2.

Many other passages make a similar point:

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 NKJV
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:19-21 NKJV
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

1 John 3:15b NKJV
You know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

How can we even know if a murder has occurred if we cannot define what it means to be alive?

My point is not to reduce Christianity to a list of facts or views that must be minimally agreed to. My point is that there is more at stake on certain issues than merely opinion. These are not academic questions. They are practical, and they DO have eternal implications. In a word, they are “essential”.

Some time back I told my so-called Christians the same thing, I.e., “you can't be a democrat & a Christian.” Needless to say, devil's screeched...there is no fellowship between light & darkness.

I’m counting on the blood of Christ to cover my sins. Past present and future sins.

Romans 8:38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Many Democrats - and especially older ones - are strongly pro-life. They vote Democrat in spite of their party’s pro-abortion stance, and not because of it. This makes those folks wrong. It does not make them evil, as this pastor would suppose.

Here’s a rough analogy. I consider George W. Bush’s invasion of Iraq to be a terrible, evil thing. I felt that way from the very first day. (You might disagree, but that’s not the point here.)

The invasion was evil. I continue to vote for the party that caused that invasion. I guess that makes me weak, or maybe stupid...but I think not evil.
