Most 14 year olds I remember when I was that age were. The kid must have been special needs or something.

These days, it’s possible that the convicted person could be a transmale or transfemale, but the media doesn’t identify them as such.

I’m certainly not saying it’s so in this case, but that possibility isn’t eliminated according to the crimes committed against the child.
