What with technology these days, living off grid and away from the surveillance state will be well nigh impossible.

Back in the mid 1990’s, I was guided to observe a Christian Businessman’s service by an evangelist that used stage hypnosis techniques to manipulate people during the service to trick the people attending into saying they were born again into Jesus. These were intelligent, well educated people of the community. Not a group that I would expect to be very gullible to subliminal stage hypnosis techniques.

It made me physically sick to see this.

I left the service and was standing in the parking lot in the cold rain saying a prayer. I asked God, “ Why was I led here to see such an atrocity?”

God responded immediately saying, “ This is how the anti-messiah will lead my people astray.” Those were His exact words, very loud and very clear.

What I learned that evening is that the false Christ will be an external surrender, while the real surrender is a surrender within.

You cannot see, experience, or communicate with Jesus except by going within. Jesus states that.

Several times Jesus also states, “You will see me, others will not see me.” This is why.

My caution in supporting anyone in politics is because I know the anti-messiah is about to appear and it is part of God’s Divine Plan unfolding on earth.

Futurists and dispensationalists shouldn't keep going over the same ground time and again without "bringing some new Biblical insight to the table.". What Paul said regarding his reviews on spiritual gifts could equally apply to our last Days studies.(I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to consume it. But even now you are not yet able. I Cor.3:2)

Expository work needs to reflect academic rigor and well-researched insight. It's time for those making money on "the prophecy circuit" to return to their home churches and their private studies, hours of prep, not mere minutes polishing the same "talk" given 100 times. But far too many pastor/teachers are eagerly looking to publish books ("located on the table at the back")rather than humbly feed their sheep.

A former pastor of mine, near Houston, even publishes a book every half year while he delivers Sunday "lessons" which are old, tired, and uninspiring. (Taking it easy, the first half hour is always spent in review). A colloquial term for this is "just winging it."

We need pastors with the deep dedication of C. S. Spurgeon or that of one recently departed Bible teacher from Dallas, Dr. S. Lewis Johnson, who had such a reverent regard for his time in the pulpit that even prayers were thoughtfully composed. Nothing like the dreadfully hollow and empty-- "Well, Lord, we just want to thank you for this day . . . and hmmm. . . all the people who came today"
