Air Force chow is pretty good. At least, it seemed that way to me back when I was used to Army chow. :-)

"23. Tracers work both ways."
This is completely true. Usually tracers are a bad idea except for fireworks shows.
As I recall there was a World War II Army Air Force command that cut out the tracers. The result was a 30% increase in downed enemy aircraft.
The darn things destroy your night vision. Muzzle flash is real bad too. During WWII the Germans used a small arms propellant that was truly without smoke unlike American powder then and now. This powder was also totally without muzzle flash.
Do see some references to this technology in print these days, maybe it is time to go high (1942) tech.
