Thanks Servo - looks like you are the keeper of the MST3k list on FR! Congrats.
So did Nelson like American Beauty or not? < sarcasm >
To: TomServo
And a group photo "thanks" to you...
Nelson: Good choice on the Kurt Russell over Patrick Swayze. Big Trouble and Tombstone were good action flicks. Jack Crews (Swayze) from Black Dog vs. Jack Burton (Russell) from Big Trouble would be a good match up.
Might be funny to see the boys watch one of those movies.

I am surprised...
THIS IS FASCINATING! (Werewolf reference)

This is way cool! I guess I'm one of the few that always liked Mike Nelson better than Joel.
I've always had the impression that Kevin Murphy was a Christian, even if he did lean to the left. Wishful thinking, perhaps?

So, yes, I do vote Republican. As the pundit Hugh Hewitt has observed, there are indeed two Americas: Serious America and Silly America. The Democrats seem bent on turning this into Silly America, so I stick with those who wish this to remain Serious America.A funny, funny man... a damned fine writer (see novel, above)... and one of US, to boot! :)

I found the Joel days funnier.
I loved MST3K. It reminded me of times I and a best friend would watch movies together, and whisper cracks to each other ("Exposition!")
I'd start watching an episode, wondering how I thought it was so funny... and inside of a few minutes, I'd be laughing so hard I could scarcely breathe!
I think Kevin Murphy's character sometimes made references to church, and/or Bible studies. But then there was the occasional very-mildly risque remark; but I wondered, too.

I found the Joel days funnier.Which is rather odd considering Mike was the head writer during "The Reign Of Joel" (TROJ).
I wonder if the delivery of the riffs made more of a difference than the riffs themselves.

I liked Joel. He was much funnier.Joel rocked. He had this Quaalude-ish, loopy quality that really worked.

He had this Quaalude-ish, loopy quality that really worked.Absolutely. You ever notice his eyes while singing the "Hike Up" song (Daddy-O)?
Ol' Joel was "higher than Corey Haim" on that one...;-)

Boy, you dusted off this old thread. I'd love to see some old Joel MST 3000 reruns. Does anyone show them anymore?
