Very good news on the Sadr relatives capture. That should focus his small mind on his own fate and may encourage him to run away.

Crank up the field telephone....
To: kattracks
So lets take him down to the NYTs for cookies and questioning. Get him a room at the Hilton so he will be comfy during interrogation.

It amazes me that we do not use detection devices, e.g., sound, video or drones to keep tabs on certain areas. Apparently, we are have not embraced technology enough to counter the silent death that stalks us.

OK, somebody, clue me in, the reason that
Muqtada al-Sadr isn't arrested is:
1 he is claiming sanctuary in a mosque
2 can't find him
3 something else
...
grease
To: elhombrelibre
That's because they didn't mention President Bush in this article either.

It amazes me that we do not use detection devices... What makes you think don't?
To: greasepaint
Sadr is not being arrested because they want him to surrender to Iraqi authorities. Maybe we can't put panties on his head, but they can.

Numerous technological measures are employed in Iraq.

The "news" dynamic of this situation has got to change if we're going to see overall improvement in the propaganda war. Slow improvement in things over the coming months will be great, but that won't change the news war. An arrest of Sadr would help, but is likely not enough to change the dynamics. A pull down of Zarqawi is about the only thing I see that could do it.

Yeah when confronted with real people dying because of these terrorists a few questions bubble to the top.
How would we suggest we get information from the terrorists, like the ones that are threatening a big event this summer. Let's say we know they are planning an attack with that 'old' sarin gas. Just don't know where, when, or how. What should we do with the capturer terrorists?
What should we do with the guy we just caught, so our troops don't have to die? Panties on his head too much for you? Dog doo too much? Posing naked too much? OK, well exactly what would be just right. Since this guy may know how we can prevent some of our troops from being killed, it brings up a very interesting problem, does it not.
