Interesting, but the title is annoyingly redundant. It sounds like baby talk. Meteorite Fell Down in Siberia , as opposed to falling up?

true. however, I've seen some poetry that looks similiar. I think I've seen lines that go something like "the stars fell down"--to emphasize the gravity of the situation or the brightness of the light. whereas proper english usage is very big or very small--primitive or poetic expressions will use repition to show that something is big big or small small--meaning they are very big or very small. however meteor meteor would not work to indicate that a very big meteor had cracked open the sky. if the meteor was as big as the article indicates--anyone nearby would be forgiven for the primitive/fetal position thought that the sky was falling. meteor fell down. go boom. indeed.

Kubrick was always strange wasn't he.

I didn't start to really dislike the guy until "full metal jacket." at that point his characters seemed to me to be just stick figures.

kubrick didn't go to england until the 70's or so. but his antipathy for the US had been on for some time. funny guy. there's probably more to the story than most know.

Well, did it launch itself into space and drop down again or stay put. What's the 411?
